Two more Premier League fixtures this afternoon to keep the gameweek ticking along. The Dugout Discussion opens up for Everton’s fixture at home to Stoke City…

The home side make a single change from last weekend’s victory at Bolton with Louis Saha dropping out completely and Apostolos Vellios taking his place. The Potters, meanwhile, bring in Jonathan Woodgate, Ryan Shotton and Dean Whitehead in three changes to last weekend’s outfit. Teams in full are…

Everton XI: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Hibbert, Heitinga, Osman, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Vellios

Stoke XI: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Woodgate, Wilson, Shotton, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Walters, Crouch

We’ll then move on to the only televised fixture of the day as Wolves play host to a Sunderland side looking to impress Martin O’Neill before he takes the reins. A game I can’t bear to watch having brought in Jamie O’Hara and made the laughably rookie mistake of then forgetting to start him.

Two sides with plenty to fight for after an equally poor last couple of months. The Dugout Discussion remains throughout.

Ref wasn't great, but tbh - Everton at home just didn't do enough going forward to win the way. Had lots of possession vs Stoke (who doesn't), but didn't create enough chances.

Sorenson & Begovic made like 2 saves between them....

As tempting as loading up on Everton Players for the DGW sounds...I wouldn't select anyone in that lineup, besides the Russian.

Although Everton should have had 2, maybe 3 penalties in that game, its depressing that apart from drawing fouls from the countless crosses we put into the box of a team that's notoriously solid in that department, we showed absolutely no other threat. While most teams usually change tactics at half time having failed to breakthrough in the first half, we continued to lump balls into the box from all over the pitch to no effect... Disappointing.

We need to start playing 4-4-2 but I don't think we've actually got 2 strikers. Getting rid of Yak looks stupider and stupider (and Beckford for that matter)

Yakubu was dreadful for us, but getting rid of Beckford without anyone to come in apart from Stracqualursi, who hasn't played more than 15 minutes at a time until today, seems a bit strange.

Beckford scored almost 10 league goals last year in a mid table side, without playing week in, week out, and we sold him for £3M..... Teams pay £20-30M for "20 goal a season" strikers, so I don't see how £3M was an accurate valuation, and it's hurting us now.

We have scored 15 goals this season, Yak has got 10 for freakin' Blackburn. Moyes is devoted to this 4-5-1 formation no matter how blunt we look. Yak and Beckford would do a job for us, and at least be a change of tactic from the bench. Score first against us and you can just sit back and watch us toil

17points on my bench so far then

    Krul, Walters, Shawcross

With Brown potentially on for a clean sheet aswell, so potentially cost myself 23points with sub choices.

    It's been a good week!

So last week i played Westwood over Vorm - 1 point, this week played Vorm over Westwood - 0 points.

I thought i chose the 'sensible' choices but ah well, thats the problem with GK rotation..

And Westwood could still lose his CS this week

Well the most BPs you could get is 19/20, so in theory you could.
      But you're relying on RVP - 6, Verm 2, Jones 3, Bale 3, Sturridge 3, Richards/Silva 1/2, Ade 1

And if Verm gets 3 with RVP 2, and Richards/Silva/Ade get 0 which is very possible, then you won't quite make it, you'll end up on 99 with 16 BPs.

Not a bad score though 😉
