Craven Cottage is the venue, as Fulham versus Liverpool wraps up Gameweek 14 on a bitterly cold Monday night. Braving the unpleasant conditions outside, the Dugout Discussion is open once more. Martin Jol and Kenny Dalglish have handed their team sheets in, and this is how the sides line-up tonight…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, Senderos, Hangeland, JA Riise, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Zamora, Dembele.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Henderson, Adam, Spearing, Bellamy, Carroll, Suarez.

The hosts make one change to the side that drew at the Emirates, as Steven Kelly comes in for Chris Baird at right-back.

As for the visitors, the devastating injury to their star defensive-midfielder Lucas, means that Jay Spearing comes in as his replacement. Elsewhere, Andy Carroll partners Luis Suarez up-front, and surprisingly there’s no reward in the form of a starting berth for Maxi Rodriguez, who’s enjoying somewhat of a purple patch at the moment.

    not usually up for taking a hit for a defender but really tempted with vdv and wilkinson out for walters and evra

                Staying at Ajax eh? Not so sure about that myself. When have Ajax ever held onto a star player. They are a production line, and they'll replace him with another talented player soon enough. The player SAF buys has to be potential world class, because the players places they'd take are no slouches. Apart from Gibbo of course.

    I was thinking of having Jones and Smalling in as that was all that Hernandez allowed me to afford. But given that I'm now likely to switch to Welbeck, what do people think about having Vidic and Jones as 2 of my defenders (alongside BAE, McAuley and Brown?)

        Nani used to be the same, still greedy but will take the pass option when required. Dempsey just seems to ignore all openings no matter how much space they are in, and he doesn't have the excuse of youthful exuberance. Good for FPL though.

    Interesting first half at the Cottage, Suarez seems to be living up to all of his performances this season, lots of impressive dribbling, good movement, little end product and dreadful in front of goal. Dempsey and Dembele looking quite threatening for Fulham, Zamora anonymous, Liverpool solid.

    I can see Fulham nicking this 1-0 actually.

    Right. I'm fed up rooting for the Uruguayan cheat and watching him fail week after week.

    Would have replaced him with Hernandez but now i'm thinking Demba Ba.
    Already have RVP and Adebayor + £1.9m

      Ba is a superb choice for replacing Suarez, wish I'd brought him in instead of Balo. I got rid of him and subsequently I'm enjoying this game a load more than I otherwise would have, such frustration watching him miss chance after chance while he sits in your side.

        Ba, Sturridge, RVP has to be the greatest front 3 right now, even considering Yak's haul.
