Craven Cottage is the venue, as Fulham versus Liverpool wraps up Gameweek 14 on a bitterly cold Monday night. Braving the unpleasant conditions outside, the Dugout Discussion is open once more. Martin Jol and Kenny Dalglish have handed their team sheets in, and this is how the sides line-up tonight…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, Senderos, Hangeland, JA Riise, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Zamora, Dembele.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Henderson, Adam, Spearing, Bellamy, Carroll, Suarez.

The hosts make one change to the side that drew at the Emirates, as Steven Kelly comes in for Chris Baird at right-back.

As for the visitors, the devastating injury to their star defensive-midfielder Lucas, means that Jay Spearing comes in as his replacement. Elsewhere, Andy Carroll partners Luis Suarez up-front, and surprisingly there’s no reward in the form of a starting berth for Maxi Rodriguez, who’s enjoying somewhat of a purple patch at the moment.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom can be found by clicking here, so come in and follow all the action as it unfolds.

Well IF you are pot three (which looks likely) it means you are unlikely to face The Stock, Big Dunc or LLCoolPhil - so plenty of opportunities to play the likes of me, bonkers, partridge, your better bro, etc etc etc. Hard to say for sure though, you are borderline at the mo. As a certain Ryan Frenchy puts it,

"Total b------s! He's onside, a part of your body that you can score with must be past the defender for it to be offside! and the only part of his body is his arm, and last time i checked you cannot score with your arm! What a load of s--t!"

Forgetting about the shoulder? I think Balotelli proved that one.

this begs the question do I get Schwarzer or Howard to replace Westy. Howard obv has DGW but I have Bale and VdV.

Also what option sounds like the best defensively

        A) Brown, Jones, BAE, McAuley, Vidic
        B) Brown, Jones, BAE, McAuley, Baines
        C) Jags, Jones, BAE, McAuley, Smalling

well could do switching McAuley out instead, but then I'm dependant on no price rises. McAuley would be sub anyway, Smalling, Jones, BAE and Jags can easily play, or can drop one at any point (in other words McAuley is just a cheap sub who'll at least play every week)

not for big hauls though, they will only pick up an assist here or there if they do. personally id rather go united or spurs players, theiy have the potential to strike it big. newcastle have great fixtures as well.

Already listed Spurs and Man U. Yea Newcastle are good for the next 3/4 games but with a big blow to defensive cover and a heavy loss at the weekend I wouldn't say they're dynamite for the next 6 weeks. Agree that Ba would be perfect for these fixtures but can't think of anyone else likely to chip in more than Mata & Sturridge. Just my opinion like

A lot of Liverpool bashing and not enough commendations for Fulham's efforts. From an FPL perspective Dempsey continues to be the ultimate dark horse outscoring the likes of Mata, Yaya, Arteta, Nasri, Walcott etc and Murphy's mixing it with that lot too.

That's what he said. Can't help you but I'd be curious of an answer. I'm either bringing in HBA or Formica, fancy Formica as a 3 game punt; no harm done if he brings me nout.

Very hard to say, Ben Arfa wasnt getting into the game as we seemed to resort to hoofing, so it quite literally went over his little head.
Its not so much x player being better than y, more a tactical decision by Pardew - does he go with two strikers or not. I'm not sure at all, but I hope he gives HBA a decent run

    Few quick fire questions lads.

    1) Hernandez to Ba or Long (any one thinkin about bringing long in?)

    2) To get rid or not get rid of VDV with harry saying he'll still be cautious over him?

    3) Switch Ramsey to Walcott or stick?

    4) Or just a quick 3 names for replacements for chico, ramsey, VDV.

    Cheers guys.

      1. Ba, Long could be an option but don't think he'll score more than once in a game, and WBA aren't playing too well at the moment.

      2. He's not in my team, and I'm quite thankful for that. I'd expect him to get rotated quite a lot over Christmas, if you don't have Bale I'd get him, there's no-one quite like him.

      3. If you have the option, Walcott is beginning to show decent form.

      4. Top of my head; Ba, Mata, Bale.

      2) I am sticking. Cautious just means not playing him in 90 mins of every game. He'll be back in next week surely?
      3)Go Walcott
      4)Welbeck Bale Nani / Young

Yeah i should imagine VDV will still get his 60+ minutes or so, think im over thinking harry being cautious. I like the look of how walcott is playing, dangerous and effective, assist machine, and RVP the goal machine, paired nicely.

I think im going nani after this week, unsure as yet tho, cheers.

      1) Long, why not the guy is the go to man in a 4-4-1-1. Also Ba is now in a newcastle team with terrible injury woes

      2) Depends on your situation, wait for news if he plays this weekend perhaps

      3) Sell but not for Walcott he is too expensive

Henderson worth a punt for Liverpools good fixtures? Seemed to be getting into good positions tonight and was one of their better players (not saying an awful lot mind you). Will he get plenty of starts with Lucas, Spearing and Gerrard out or will that mean he'll drop further back?

I always rate Craven Cottage a red fixture on the ticker, regardless. Same for Stoke up until the Newc game. Both teams strong at home.

I had Schwarzer early on but frustratingly bailed. Kelly, Hughes, Baird are all prone to rotation.

As a Fulham fan who who watched the game,I'd be very surprised if Dempsey didn't get all 3, he not only scored but had a few other efforts on target and played very well. The other main contenders I'd have thought would be Murphy for the assist and also the amount of passes he made. Also Schwarzer for the CS and saves

Best midfielder for 10 or less for the next four weeks? I feel in the mood for a differential so now Bale 🙂 Possibly Adam or maybe Nani?

Fixtures wise that's the main 3 imo, Mata looks fairly good after next weeks Citeh game + I'd be looking at Everton coverage after next week leading up to their DGW.

Bale vs. Stoke=injury heartbreak for Bagonwheelers...

BTW, (VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION...) are Stoke playing Europa this week?

Bale would seem ideal at the current price and with fixtures including a DGW, however if you don't have any Utd I would say Nani is a great shout, could pull in some huge scores over the next few weeks. Definitely preferable to Adam despite the difference in price

Sorry, typo. Meant to say NOT Bale. Everyone in my leagues has him now and I want to gamble on him failing.

Bale and Nani have huge ownership so are hardly differentials. However, both definitely have the fixtures to do well.

I reckon it must be players that have given up that mainly have Nani still. Very few people in my money leagues have him which is important to me. Just not convinced at all by his form.

I haven't given up and still have him; admittedly it hasn't been that fun recently but fixtures are just so good til Jan there's always something more important to do.

...but will be getting him in for the DGW unless VDV looks nailed on.

Mata is intriguing, except for that damned City game and I have Sturridge.
