We’ve a rare Saturday occasion this afternoon. For only the fourteenth time in the last five seasons we have seven kick-offs at the regulation time of three o’clock without any obtuse early or late fixtures. The Dugout Discussion is open for a short sharp two hour spell…

So let’s not dilly-dally and share all of the team news for the day…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Djourou, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Ramsey, Van Persie, Gervinho (Subs: Almunia, Miquel, Rosicky, Frimpong, Benayoun, Arshavin, Chamakh).

Everton XI: Howard, Heitinga, Hibbert, Neville, Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Fellaini, Saha (Subs: Mucha, Distin, Barkley, Stracqualursi, Gueye, McAleny, Vellios).

The Arsenal side picks itself with two right-backs and two left-backs out injured we see Johann Djourou and Thomas Vermaelen on the flanks. The visiting team pretty much picked itself with the injuries in David Moyes’ outfit.

United XI: De Gea, Smalling, Evans, Evra, Ferdinand, Nani, Jones, Valencia, Carrick, Rooney, Welbeck (Subs: Lindegaard, Fryers, Park, Gibson, Young, Giggs, Macheda).

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Johnson, Ward, Berra, Henry, Jarvis, Edwards, O’Hara, Doyle, Fletcher. (Subs: De Vries, Stearman, Elokobi, Milijas, Hunt, Hammill, Ebanks-Blake).

Manchester United line-up pretty much as expected by our team news. Ashley Young’s injury the only figure of change with Valencia coming in. Mick McCarthy sticks to his word and names Stephen Fletcher in his line-up. Go figure.

Swansea XI: Vorm, N. Taylor, Caulker, Williams, Gower, Routledge, Sinclair, Britton, Richards, Lita, Moore (Subs: Tremmel, Bessone, Monk, Dyer, Agustien, Dobbie, Graham).

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, Riise, Hangeland, Senderos, Davies, Dempsey, Etuhu, Johnson, Ruiz, Dembele (Subs: Etheridge, Briggs, Hughes, Frei, B Riise, Gecov, Sa).

Danny Graham is only fit enough to return to the Swansea bench so bargain striker Leroy Lita looks to lead from the front once more. The talk of Bobby Zamora in this morning’s news was correct – the big man has been left out of the Fulham side.

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Tierney, Whitbread, Martin, Naughton, Crofts, Surman, Fox, Hoolahan, Holt, Morison (Subs: Rudd, Barnett, Johnson, Pilkington, Bennett, Wilbraham, Jackson).

Newcastle XI: Krul; Santon, Simpson, Perch, R. Taylor; Gutierrez, Cabaye, Gosling, Obertan; Ba, Sh Ameobi (Subs: Elliot, Ferguson, Ben Arfa, Smith, Lovenkrands, Best, Sa Ameobi).

Norwich decide to combat Newcastle’s new defence -notably absent of both first choice centre backs- with the double pronged attack of Steve Morison and Grant Holt. Hatem Ben Arfa drops out to the bench for the visitors.

West Brom XI: Foster; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Shorey; Brunt, Mulumbu, Morrison, Thomas; Odemwingie, Long (Subs: Fulop, Dawson, Jones, Scharner, Dorrans, Tchoyi, Cox).

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Stam, Figueroa, Moses, Gomez, McCarthy, Jones, Diame, Sammon. (Subs: Pollitt, Gohouri, McArthur, Maloney, Watson, Di Santo, Rodallega).

Peter Odemwingie is back in the West Brom starting line-up as he looks to get back into the form of last season. Wigan put out a team of footballers – Moses included. Last season’s final gameweek saviour Hugo Rodallega is on the bench.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Cahill, Robinson, Knight, Boyata, Pratley, Eagles, Davies, Sanli, Klasnic, Davies (Subs: Bogdan, Steinsson, Petrov, Muamba, Ngog, O’Halloran, Kakuta).

Villa XI: Guzan, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Hutton, Petrov, Herd, N’Zogbia, Albrighton, Bent, Agbonlahor (Subs: Marshall, Clark, Ireland, Bannan, Delfouneso, Heskey, Weimann).

After having his ban rescinded Gary Cahill “returns” to the Bolton line-up where Tuncay makes a rare appearance in the side. Brad Guzan and Marc Albrighton are two notable introductions for Aston Villa in this fixture.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Maxi, Kuyt, Suarez (Subs: Doni, Coates, Kelly, Carragher, Shelvey, Bellamy, Carroll).

QPR XI: Cerny, Traore, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Young, Wright-Phillips, Faurlin, Barton, Mackie, Smith, Bothroyd (Subs: Putnins, Orr, Hill, Connolly, Derry, Buzsaky, Campbell).

No place for Andy Carroll this time at Anfield as Stewart Downing and Dirk Kuyt return for Liverpool. Heidar Helguson is a surprise absentee for the visitors with DJ Campbell fit enough to return to the bench.

Then we’ll be done. For now, between the hours of three and five o’clock there will be plenty to discuss in the Dugout Discussion as the goals rattle in.

Katie, fair play with your prediction of Nani outscoring RVP.

Although when I weighed it up, I knew it was a close call and so went with the form.

No player can keep on ratching up goal after goal after goal - not even Persie and what he represents in that team.

      Got lucky that's all.

        I'm not sure I totally agree-I think it was a good call(as I did):

        1. RVP was 'slowing down' last game.

        2. I saw how Everton played when they came to City-I didn't think Arsenal would score many.

        3. Nani looked good mid-week and there was bound to be a reaction.

        4. I saw how weak Wolves devence was.

I think it was a reasonable bet.

It was a punt because Nani hasn't had anywhere near the form of RVP, regardless of fixtures.

But it worked out. It could have gone the other way though and people wouldn't have been surprised.

          Glad I have both though.

I would rather have him on the bench with 10 or 13 points rather than 2 points for the reasons I've given.

We have to cast our mind back to before the game started-there is no way I would play him before VDV,Bale,Yak,Silva or Ade and so I don't beat myself up about it and there is a chance one of these won't play so I'm really pleased if he is my first sub.

Why oh why do people stick their foot in their mouths and insist on comparing themselves to Barcelona / Messi? This is a headline running on ESPN:

“Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has outlined his ambition to have a team that plays with the style of Barcelona”

    Good luck with that.

It's good for your bench to score well:

      1. He may come in;

      2. His price may rise;

      3. You're more confident about him in the future.

      He's only repaying his potential.

It does slightly annoy me when people bleat about not playing such a cheap player. I have sympathy when it is a close call but in this case no-one would criticise me for not having him in my first team.

Hoping one of them doesn't play!

In all seriousness it depends-Stoke are difficult to call at the moment, will either concede 0 or 3.

On the basis Tott are averaging about 2.7 per game at the moment, I think it could be the latter-I have Wilkinson as insurance!!

Left it with RVP. Good returns. And Vorn in goals with the person above me having Dempsey in their team. Massive. I also have BA and Klasnic upfront. I absolutely love Klasnic - statistically he is a machine but I might need to trade him for Sturridge.

Point probably made already but the overall leader has

    1) Never had Silva
    2) Had Rooney for first 5 then transferred in RVP ever since
    3) Transferred in Bale for GW 13
    4) Transferred in Yak before GW 14
    5) Transferred out Bale for Nani before GW 15

    Uncanny skill

My choice to go for Shane Long didn't work out...

and now I've got myself the dilemma of needing to bench one of Long (vs awful Blackburn defence), Sinclair (vs Perch and co) and O'Hara (home game vs Stoke you'd surely play him in).

I'm going to get that wrong.

      One game.

I'm not trying to discredit anything and him scoring 2 getting an assist, Rooney scoring 2 and Valencia getting 3 assists...

I'm just being a pedant really, I wholly admit, but is one game of action really enough evidence on the form pile? Really?

He's done very well and he's crushed my scores into oblivion today. But I beg to differ.

Come on Andy-I thought you would have recognised what the CL crash out would lead to. I jumped on it quickly and I posted about it a few days ago.

I can't wait to sell that waste of space Brunt!!! I can't bring Gower cause I have 3 Swansea, no enough cash for Mata/Nani so what to do?

I have 8.4m but don't want to spend them all.

You mean Moses scores and gets an assist and Suarez scores and FFS survived?

On another note, was gonna do Schwarzer in for Westwood next week as my only transfer and get Nani week after. Worth taking a 4 point hit to get him in for Brunt now?
