        Hes like Moses, can you think before you comment- Moses has started every game and got points in 2 of them. Drenthe has started 3 games and got points in 2 of them. Hmm, not quite the same eh?

        I must admit he seems like a weak minded person missing so many games with a minor injury. But realistically we have not had enough info to condemn him. When watching him play, seems like scoring or assisting in every game IMO

        Martinez wish he had Drenthe, if Royston was on Wigan he'd have plenty more goals than Moses...a mindless wing robot. Until Donovan arrives, or Moyes decides to stop being a douchebag and play Barkley, Drenthe is pretty much the only creative option and with Baines, that's allon the left side. Sounds like you're sippin haterade without really being thirsty.

    My "fifth midfielder" this season...

    Victor Moses - does nothing for weeks, sell before price falls out, to
    Barry Bannan - who conveniently gets himself suspended by his own club, to
    Adam Johnson - who doesn't play "when he should" then scores double figures the week I offload, to
    Jamie O'Hara - who I forget to play and now is injured for one of his 'good games'.

    Wonder who I'll buy next. Diniyar Bilyaletdinov anyone?

    That grumble aside, probably need to buy a cheap defender for a hit -or succumb to sticking with Stevie Taylor again and a guaranteed non sheet cleaner at the back- that's a doomed recipe if there ever was.

      I'd be tempted to go back to Moses, purely based on him playing 90 mins every week and not seeming injury prone. The odd extra points, that seem more likely now, are still a bonus when the others are dropped or injured.

      Taylor - Not sure it's worth a hit, could be if it's for a long term cheapo you don't mind seeing benched from time to time like Evans.

    So, O'hara being out has left my best option to play 1 of each of the following:

    Krul v Vorm

    Krul + Simpson would give me two home players and Swansea don't exactly tend to break scoring records away from home. However, I don't like doubling up if I can avoid it. So I'm thinking Vorm + Simpson?

    Any thoughts on the best option here?

      I would go Krul + Simpson. Krul is more likely to score points than Vorm so you should play him, regardless of who else is in your team.

      You have two defenders for this GW over a season of 38 weeks, so hardly putting all your eggs in one basket.

      I wouldn't be selling a set-piece taker ahead of a fixture against a team like concedes-alot-Blackburn, myself.

    Loving the Champions League draw, especially Napoli-Chelsea.

    As for Europa League, at least we got a 'big' team (relatively speaking). Good away trip and gives us a chance to see Eriksen against us. Then possibly Martinez in the Last 16. Anyone else think it's a bit suspicious that United and City would get big clubs? 🙂

              Chelsea will win that tie...Look at Napoli in Italy, 7th place? Chelsea have begun sitting deeper and letting teams come to them, sort of a mourinho/almost Italian tactic. Man City's mistake vs Napoli was they pressed too high and let Cavani get into dangerous areas. When Chelsea defend in numbers they are hard to break down

      How can ex CL teams draw each other? Who does that work, ie. Utd vs Ajax, Porto vs Man City?

      Valencia vs. Stoke and Lazio vs. Atlelico Madrid should be interesting as well.

          It was seeded, half of the Champions League dropouts were seeds (including Man Utd & Man City) and half were unseeded. Not sure of the exact basis.

        Ex CL teams can draw each other due to seedings. The the teams that won their groups in EL are in the first group of seeds along with the 4 teams dropping from the CL with the best record, United, City, Valencia, Olympiakos. Thus United and City can face anyone in the second seeds bar Stoke.

        Unfortunately yes. Sess looked good on TV but didn't translate into many points for me... the only consistent performer in the sub 6.5 bracket seems to be Sinclair.
