QPR play host to Manchester United in an earlier than normal kick-off as Gary Neville sets in for a triple header of televised “Super Sunday” fixtures – with a fourth game off screens for good measure.

Neil Warnock drafts in Matthew Connolly for the injured Anton Ferdinand while Heidar Helguson returns from injury himself. Ferguson must have a temperature as he makes the rare decision to field an unchanged side from that which beat Wolves – his usual fables on the injury front also show Javier Hernandez fit enough to return to the bench. This Dugout Discussion is also my last planned contribution for quite some time so I’ll wish you all many happy returns over the hectic festive period of football coming up while I’m here. Thanks for your continued support over what’s been a grand old 2011.

        I have those four defenders too, and for next week my choice is whether I should:

        a) play Walters (mci) (and have my usual 3-4-3 formation)
        OR
        b) play Simpson (WBA) (and go 4-3-3)

    Not sure the average will be as low as people may think, a lot of clean sheet points this week could make it quite a competitive average.

      A lot of people are way over estimating it too though. Some people saying scores like 58 or 60 are alright. I'd reckon the average could be in the thirties.

    What are peoples thoughts on A Valencia for Manure? I've got a pretty weak midfield and contemplating Pilkington for Valencia for my 1FT this week? My other mids are Bale (injury doubt), Silva (Mr Consistent), Murphy, Pilkington and Formica.

      Not with the Spurs fixtures and double GW coming up. Keep them in til the new year. 2 weeks ago Rooney was doing nowt and Ade was banging them in. Things can change so quickly.

    at least i might not lose ground this week. net 49
    just checked the sun and im top by a couple of points (ffs league not overall) so i may have to make the sun dream team no.1 this year.
    i have done welbeck out for sturridge before he goes to 7.1m this week.
    but my 4point hit of nani and ba in for ramsey and aguero costme points but i gained 0.4m on value so only time will see.
    anyone know if dyer will force his way back into the starting line up or is he bench fodder from now on

      You musn't have seen him today, he was brilliant. Definitely keep especially with the double gamewek around the corner. He's played nearly 90 minutes in the last 2 games now which is promising.

    Considering doing Adebayor & Baines -> Rooney & Enrique in gameweek 18 for free..

    Thoughts? Madness to lose 2 dgwrs couple of weeks before hand? Baines is so damn expensive with Enrique part of the best defence in the league at the minute.. Rooney is hitting form with great fixtures..

      Now that Hernandez is back that will happen sooner rather than later. I'd still expect Welbeck to get decent game time during the festive period but might be wiser to stay clear.

      He looked good. Neat finish for the goal and very close to a couple of assists. Getting angry when not played in when in good positions, looked very hungry! Appeared to drop a little deep when Hernandez came on in 2nd half though.

      He was poor today imo.. Gave away the ball a lot and was wasteful on one or two occaisions infront of goal..

      Ramsey should have gone at least 2-3 GWs ago tbh, I kept faith with him too long. I had him on the bench for Eagles, that's what I thought of him, and he got subbed on with Bale out and I knew it would be a 2 pointer. I've already transferred him to Drenthe.
