This Sunday brings a whole host of soccer action across the globe. Right now Santos are trying valiantly to hold off Barcelona in Japan while in the evening there’s some tasty action on the continent. The Dugout Discussion opens for the juicy Premier League filling in this football sandwich…

QPR play host to Manchester United in an earlier than normal kick-off as Gary Neville sets in for a triple header of televised “Super Sunday” fixtures – with a fourth game off screens for good measure.

Neil Warnock drafts in Matthew Connolly for the injured Anton Ferdinand while Heidar Helguson returns from injury himself. Ferguson must have a temperature as he makes the rare decision to field an unchanged side from that which beat Wolves – his usual fables on the injury front also show Javier Hernandez fit enough to return to the bench. QPR XI: Cerny; L Young, Connolly, Gabbidon, Traore; Wright-Phillips, Barton, Faurlin, Mackie; Helguson, Bothroyd (Subs: Kenny, Orr, Hill, Derry, Taarabt, Campbell, Smith).

United XI: De Gea; Smalling, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Jones, Nani; Rooney, Welbeck (Subs: Berbatov, Giggs, Park, Hernandez, Young, Lindegaard, Fryers.).

Fantasy Managers will then have to settle in for not just Aston Villa hosting Liverpool but Manchester City against Arsenal on television screens. Plenty of captain’s armbands will be following Spurs vs Sunderland also going on while these two games take place.

This Dugout Discussion is also my last planned contribution for quite some time so I’ll wish you all many happy returns over the hectic festive period of football coming up while I’m here. Thanks for your continued support over what’s been a grand old 2011.

        Silva VDV Sinclair O'Hara and King Moses. If VDV doesn't produce the good this week i think it's a straight swap for Bale but i haven't done as of yet because i'm clinging on to the thought of the impending DGW.

    It's early days today, but think I must consider getting in Rooney. Downgrade Nani to upgrade Ba. Jones looks so impressive. Think he'll score a few this season.

      I have Nani and Jones and starting to think I need more attacking coverage. Trouble is I'm not likely to ditch RVP or Adebayor, and I can't do Suarez -> Rooney without major surgery. Meh.

            Yup could have done with that goal from him. Big Dunc took a risk on a captaincy and beat me. He knew that was the only way so took it off RVP and gave it to Nani.

      Yeah he's the first pick out of any defender in the game for me, even if I do think it's a bit of a problem for United that he too often has to try to play a final ball.

      Great fixtures, good player, good team, not overly expensive, gets into good positions.
