Arsenal have this afternoon confirmed they are closely monitoring the proposed industrial strike action due to take place on the London Underground this Boxing Day.

With the Gunners set to face Wolves at 3pm that day, the club have made supporters aware via their official website that, in the event of a strike, any decision as to whether the match goes ahead will be made with the public’s safety in mind. Both Arsenal and Wolves are already liaising with the relevant authorities ahead of any announcement.

Chelsea also have a home game that day, with Fulham due to travel to Stamford Bridge and although the club have yet to comment, reports over the weekend have suggested both these matches could conceivably be at risk if the strike goes ahead.

At the moment, this is just a heads-up. We must stress that nothing has been finalised either way but Fantasy managers should at least be aware over a possible postponement on the horizon.

With Man United and Liverpool hosting Wigan and Blackburn that Gameweek and with Spurs taking a trip to Norwich, there would be plenty other strong options available if the games are called off. Owners of Chelsea and Arsenal assets face a real quandary, though- with both clubs at home to Aston Villa and QPR respectively on New Year’s Eve, would getting rid for one gameweek be the sensible option?

Plenty to mull over, then, and, added to this is the possibility of a double gameweek for both London clubs if the matches are indeed cancelled, it’s fair to say we’ll be keeping a keen eye open for any update.

    Vorm
    Enrique Jones Simpson
    Silva Walters nani VDV
    RVP Ba Adebayor

    Subs: Cerny, Walker, Boyata, Dyer

Get rid of Dyer for Drenthe and Walker for Evans (2 free transfers), or just make the 1 transfer and do Dyer to 4.9 or less midfielder (allen I guess, Moses and Gomez have poor fixtures)

Insane? Verm frightens me in terms of his potential for huge scores on a regular basis and Smalling is a bit of a rotation risk now Evans is kind of good and Rafael "needs a game".

Hit me people, I been nice on last page, promise. 2 freebies.

    Vorm
    Verm Jones Richards Enrique
    Nani Bale Silva
    Sturridge RVP Ade
    (Ruddy, Ramsey, Raylor, Dyer)

    Possible injuries: Raylor, Dyer, Bale.

Want rid of Raylor soon to free funds, but am happy with team in general so am looking at... Ramsey - Drenthe (risk, Moyes doesn't like his defensive skills so may be benched) & Dyer - Moses (bench fodder).

Main reason is that I'll need my bench, may as well tidy it up.

Ramsey is a waste of space so Drenthe couldn't be a risk. I'm holding onto him as a sub, he's got until the Jan WC to do something. Dyer - Moses, nothing wrong with that. I like your team, If I was wildcarding now I'd have something very similar.

It's true, Rodwell picked up an injury in the warm up:

"Royston Drenthe made an impressive return from injury in the 1-1 draw with Norwich on Saturday after missing three matches with a foot injury. The Dutchman played a big part in Leon Osman's equaliser and is pushing for a start on Wednesday.

Seamus Coleman missed the stalemate with the Canaries with a thigh injury, whilst Jack Rodwell picked up a hamstring injury in the warm up."

How abt Modric as a differential for DGW given that one has Adebayor who is on pens?

VDV may not start a match and finish the other two.
Bale might get a string of 2 pointers as well.
Modric ain't doing so bad either, assisting twice in the last 3 matches and might get an odd goal in anytime.

Oh noes. It's the SuperBrunt. I've kept him for countless weeks of his twos and seen Walters, who had been Brunt's rival for a place in my Fantasy team, not only scoring goals, assisting, but also rising in price. Finally got the reward.

      Now it's Baines' turn.

Dyer + Bale -> Drenthe + someone (Jarvis?)

Any thoughts? It would be a 4 point hit. I want at least to get rid of Dyer, as one needs a decent bench at this time of year, and I have no cash in the bank.

Leave Bale in. If you are serious about Dyer I think a better way to get points would be ditching Baines. He's sticking out like a sore thumb there. You could get Richards and Jarvis or Vermaelen and a benchwarmer. But really you're losing a lot more having Baines in your team than having Dyer. Drenthe and Jarvis isn't a bad option if you're hellbent on getting rid of Dyer and Bale... but please don't.

Could do with some advice please (team linked)
Have 2 frees going into this GW with 1.6m in the bank but have NO city attacking cover.
It seems that any worthwhile city attacking coverage could be a rotation risk this GW (silva, aguero, balo)

A)1 transfer to get rid of dyer and gamble without city coverage
    B)ade & sess>aguero & gomez/moses
    C)bale & ward>silva & shotton (other 4.2m def)
    D)ade>balo
    E)sess>yaya T

    thoughts appreciated.

A is ok. City coverage doesn't mean what it used to. B: Gomez and Moses have horrible fixtures. C ok but maybe not worth a transfer D: No E: Nah.
Do you really want to keep Adam? I'd spend all the 1.2 on a replacement for him, and find a benchwarmer to replace Dyer. All of your transfers seem to involve tinkering with good players rather than weeding out the weak ones.

      Dyer, Silva, Nani.

      Dyer - injured.
Silva - Just a feeling Mancini will rotate, he's got so many options, and has a tendency to bring Silva on for 20 minutes at the end of a match.
Nani - could be rotated, probably more likely he plays and misses Wigan match.

I'd say Silva. Mancini might leave to his bigger boys (Balotelli, Yaya, De Jong, Barry, Milner) to deal with Stoke rather than Silva and Aguero.

Jones got a rest a few weeks back and is unlikely to be rested now. Maybe in a couple of GWs.

Dyer is due a start after being a substitute for a couple of games.

RVP and Nani. Don't think so.

    Thoughts for GW17:

    Krul (Vorm)
    Jones Enrique Simpson
    Silva(v) Bale Nani Drenthe
    RVP(c) Ade Sturridge

    Subs: Ward Brown Walters

Thinking of swapping Ward and Brown as at least Sunderland have a slim chance of a CS... better than zero chance with Wolves.

Please RMT for coverage / rotation risk. I got killed this weekend and only fielded 10. Have just switched in Drenthe and Simpson for Rodwell and Wilkinson.

Krul and Vorm are no brainers
    Jones, Vermaelen, RTaylor, (Simpson, Ward)
    Silva, VDV, Bale, Drenthe (Moses)
    RVP, Sturridge, Yakubu

I should be able to field 10 outfield players for each of the next two weeks, right?
