Welcome to a brand new year at Fantasy Football Scout. Hope you all have a happy one.

Now you’ve disposed of your empty cans and pizzas boxes into a black bag, you can settle into your lazyboy and spend the afternoon shouting at your TV screen. We have two games: West Brom entertain Everton and Sunderland welcome Man City to the Stadium of Light.

The teams are in for the opening game, with the main talking point, the omission of Royston Drenthe. It seems there’s not even a place for him on the bench, with Jack Rodwell returning to the Everton lineup.

WBA: Foster; Jones, McAuley, Dawson, Shorey; Thomas, Scharner, Morrison, Brunt; Long, Odemwingie.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Neville, Rodwell, Osman, Cahill, Saha.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open.

Update on the "VDV" goal: I've now reviewed the video footage more closely and I can confirm that it was heading off target before the deflection, so it will be classed as an own goal according to FPL rules.

I have e mailed FPL. They tend to agree with me on issues such as this, although it may not be resolved until the morning. I've requested that they resolve the issue before bonus points are calculated to avoid confusion.

People trying to get other players points reduced is one of the things that annoys me most. And I don't have VDV. It's selfish and bitter. Like trying to get an opponent sent off.

Pick 1 option for the DGW
    1.Rooney>Ade
    2.Nani>VDV
Already have BAE and Bale as Spurs coverage. I don't think Everton coverage is needed. They are just too boring and can hardly score.

Nani is just too annoying also. Unless you can predict his usual 20-30 points in a few games

Did it staright away after the deadline on Friday. Ade will rise 0.2 anyway so you'll make the money back that way.
