With just Everton’s trip to White Hart Lane left to be played in the gameweek, it’s time for our members to soak up our pick of the stats from the action so far, along with our punt on how the Fantasy Premier League bonus will pan out…
And there will be more - regardless of him hopping it over to Africa.
Open ControlsNah, not with the red flag.
Open Controls
Yes, but only a tiny minority of the 2 point whatever million registered take it seriously.
Worth reminding yourself from time to time.Open ControlsI think those guys are all in my league...why can't they just quit and leave me to win in peace? 😀
Open Controls
Holy crap. I might hang on for another price rise before getting rid. 😀
Open Controls
So I went Vermaelen->Jagielka this week.
Any suggestions who to swap Jagielka for who wont get crocked for weeks.Open ControlsAnyone know what the injuries to Osman and Jags are like?
Open ControlsPainful, I would guess
Open Controls
Fill in the blank for me please.
5.0 to spend on a midfilder.
Maybe Moses?
Vorm - Ruddy
Kelly S - Enrique - Jones - Caulker - Simpson
??? - Cabaye - Walters - Silva - Bale
Sturridge - Van Persie - Aguero
or should I stick with my double Sunderland midfield:
McClean - Sessegnon - Walters - Silva - BaleOpen ControlsRepost:

__Rooney(c)__ RVP__ Ade__
Subs: Gower, Shotton, Wilko, Westwood
0.1 in the bank
I really need to sort out my midfield so one of Drenthe, Gower or Barfa needs to go. Who should go first (I am thinking Drenthe) and who should I get (Vaughn?, Mclean, Norwich mid?). I would prefer to not take a hit as it won't be worth it before I WC in GW24. Advice would be much appreciated, thanks 🙂Open ControlsI would say Brunt if he was fit, and Cabaye is not worth a punt now that Ba is gone imo. I'd be tempted to save the transfer, who knows Drenthe might play and if not you'll get in an OOP player which isn't the worst thing..
Open ControlsOops, read it as Shotton was 1st sub 😛
Open Controls
Rooney isn't performing to justify a price of 9 let alone 12 and your midfield is stuffed because of him there, and the replacements don't look good as regular starters.
That's my thoughts anyways.Open ControlsI agree that Rooney currently is a waste but to get rid ahead of Bolton at home would be madness. Especially if they are forced to play Bogdan again...
Open ControlsHe has been a waste since GW5..
It's always 1 more week though for his owners.Open ControlsYep true, but their fixtures stiffen up after this one, so would make more sense to get rid then.
Cue Rooney hattrick vs Bolton...Open ControlsNot a priority for me Jack. I have much more pressing concerns in midfield. I will not be taking an 8 point hit to rearrange things now especially before Bolton
Open ControlsWhy would it be an 8 point hit?
Eh, I never said to get rid, I am just saying he is a waste and has been for 16 weeks nowOpen Controls
Your right Jack, any advice on how I can make some minor adjustments to improve the situation till WC?
Open ControlsAs Chris said, it'd be mad to get rid of Rooney before BOL.
See if Drenthe plays Spurs and asses the situation after that, IMO, there is no clear replacements.Open ControlsCheers you are probably right. A risky punt on a Norwich player could be my only other option or maybe Vaughn
Open Controls+1
Open Controls
Probably Drenthe if he still not play this Sat and no sign for next Wed.
I don't know much about McClean. Norwich MF are all under rotation.
How much do you have for that spot?Open ControlsDon't like that bench at all. Not enough city cover either.
HBA is prolly going to get game time now with Newcastle losing two from the first team.
And judging by his role/effect tonight Rooney captain is more than bold, could get lucky I suppose, but I'd not risk it...Open Controls
Does anyone think Ba could become a transfer target by one of the bigger sides?
Open ControlsWasn't he signed 6 months ago by Newcastle? Wouldn't the 3 clubs a year rule prevent that one? Surely with the ACN and injury risks nobody would go for him in the summer anyway? Nailed on in the summer if not though
Open ControlsAs a Chelsea fan I wouldn't say no. Both we and Liverpool could need a beast like that
Open Controls
Dear BBC,
Please get Gabby back in place of that nerd on MOTD2.Open Controls2 - at the halfway stage of the season tim howard is only 2 goals off being everton's top scorer
Open ControlsProlific.
Open Controlsgood suggestion
howard up front v spursOpen Controls
They are a side that could end up in real trouble, very limited.
Open ControlsAnd one less PL goal all season than the £50m man. This still has legs.
Open Controlsit's the camo shirt. by the time they see him the ball has bounced over their head
Open Controlsat what point do transfer fees become irrelevant? if its a billionaires and not the clubs money, then the amount paid affects no one
although an investment of £500,000 for Torres would have been over-spending with how he's playedOpen ControlsOther than the Arsenal game, every time I've watched a full game where Torres has been involved, he's played well.
Thought he was Chelsea's best player on Tuesday.Open Controls
Nearest ML rival has him this week, hard to stomach.
Open Controlsmore than Stewart Downing
Open Controlswow I am incredulous about that stat
they need a yakOpen Controls
apparently jagielka left goodison park on crutches. as an adebayor captainer this could help
Open ControlsCome on India 🙂
Open ControlsBye Bye Mr Sehwag 🙂
9 wickets to go.Open ControlsBye Bye Dravid. Lovely ball. 8 wickets to go. 🙂
Tendulkar time.Open ControlsBring on the 100th. The loss shalt be forgiven.
Open Controls
After the rise I can still do Walters ➡ Sessegnon in a straight swap. Too much sideways?
Could do with some ideas for this lot (dont see I need the WC just yet):
Vorm, Ruddy
Jones, BAE, Hibbert, Simpson, Caulker
Silva, Nani, Bale, Walters, Drenthe
RVP, Adebayor, Sturridge
0.4M, 1 FTOpen Controlsi was planning to have both walters and sessegnon in my team.. solid mids
Open ControlsWay too lateral for me. Trading away @ Liverpool for away @ Chelsea. Meh.
Perhaps you should bank the transfer for the 2 FTs next week.Open ControlsI'd save the transfer and play Walters, Gaz. Liverpool have conceded in 8 out of 10 home games this year, a terrible record. Wouldn't surprise me at all were Crouch to do something at one of his former clubs.
Open Controlscheers
now that you mention it, a transfer roll-over sounds good. ive got a solid team for gw 21.
Vorm (ARS); Jones (BOL), Ekotto (WOL), Simpson (QPR)
Silva (wig), Nani (BOL), Bale (WOL), Walters (liv)
RVP (swa), Sturridge (SUN), Adebayor (WOL)
RVP (swa) and Sturridge (SUN) is the biggest concerns I guess, with Swansea home form and Martin ONeill induced Black Cats.
because surely Nani and Jones can do something at home to Bolton?Open Controls
Reckon Newcastle can qualify for Champions League?
Open Controlsno chance
Open Controlswhy does it feel like that no team can beat barca/madrid.. they are at another level of futball...
Open ControlsThey are at another level of financing, to be sure.
Open Controls
Film suggestions?
Open ControlsI watched Paul last night....an unexpected Xmas gift and it was pretty good, not as good as Hot Fuzz or Shawn of the Dead.
Open ControlsMaybe after a couple of watches it will be.....I found all their films growers!
Open Controls
'Drive'. Although I think it's in that limbo between cinema and DVD right now.
Open ControlsThe departed
Open ControlsLeprechaun: In da Hood.
TRUST MEOpen Controls
Cabaye. Bandwagon.
CabOpen ControlsMorning Guys, my Drenthe & Jags investement went well, so I have decided to WC with BA leaving also... meaning I need 3 trades.
Team done, no Utd midfield or forward coverage I had Nani pre-WC for Bolton but... hes annoying me.
Any news on Jags? Im guessing he wont feature V Spurs???Open Controlsjags on crutches.
hard to think you go from crutches to PL-fit in a week. fingers crossed though. i, too, am a victim of everton investment.Open ControlsAt least I am not on my todd....
It made senses, as it happens they lost to Bolton and I can now only see them going same way V Spurs.
White Hart Lane was never going to be a rich picking area for an Everton Clean Sheet !Open Controls
my h2h rival has larsson and brown, both dont play so on comes R. taylor and Ba
Open ControlsHibbert, Baines, Osman, Jones 4 players 1 pt and Simpson rotten on the bench with 6. Beat that. Ha!!!!
Open ControlsWhats the deal with Tiote, is he definatley missing the QPR match? Any conformation? I see where he's flagged on the FPL site now, but I thought Pardew might try and keep him and Ba back as long as possible.
Open Controlstheyre gone bud, rules is rules
Open ControlsACON doesn't kick off until Jan 21st. Rules say that players can be recalled 14 days proir, not that they MUST be.
Open Controlsthat's right. anything can be agreed upon within that 14 day window but with a cup match next I think he'll be gone before next prem. game
Open Controlsthink you both misunderstand
national sides CAN demand players release 14 days before and so do
clubs can only begOpen ControlsI dont think either of us misunderstand. We know they can call up players 14 days beforehand. The question is whether clubs have come to arrangements with national teams that would allow players to stay in prem. a little later.
Open Controls
What's up with Drenthe?? Really hoping he doesn't play against Spurs so Silva can come off my bench!
Open ControlsKrul – Vorm
Caulker – Evans – Simpson – Naylor – McAuley
Nani – Bale – Silva – Gerard – Mata
RVP – Yak – Long
I just love that midfield but worry about the rest….thoughts?Open Controlsyeh ur team is pretty centre heavy...get rid of gerrard to a cheap 4.5 ish mid and upgrade Long...may I suggest sturridge and then get someone in the back like komps/richards....or even clichy (although may get rotated) instead of mcauley, city are gonna get have a good run of fixtures
Open ControlsMorison would be better than Long and the 0.6 saved should be spent to upgrade your defence.
Open Controls
Just played wilcard and this is the result
Vorm, Sorensen
Brown, Kompany, Senderos, Naylor, Shotton
Valencia, Bale, Silva, Sessegnon, Dempsey
Rvp, Aguero, Yakubu
I'm reasonably happy but what do ye think?Open ControlsI'd go for Sturridge or Ade over Aguero and then upgrade some of your defence. Also, Richards over Kompany to save money?
Open Controlsi was looking at agueros fixtures and they are very appealing. I just sold sturridge and ade but i can always go back. I'll probably stick with kompany because he rarely gets injured and he has a big goal threat
Open Controlskompany plays every match - thats the correct choice in that regard
Open Controls
?marks over: Valencia (playing rb now) and shotton, maybe downgrade to cabaye/dyer/moses or similar and upgrade shotton to a decent defend (jones could be an option despite his OG if u can afford)
Open Controlsi think valencia will move back up to the wing when smalling comes back and that should be next week
Open Controlswhat about when Young is back?
Nani might have had a poor couple of games but he shouldnt be scapegoated
and he is the best winger in the squad overallOpen Controls
his own goal and the way he was bullied both increases Evans value and strangely Jones' too - because he is far more likely to be pushed into midfield regularly now
Open Controls
bit early
shotton, senderos, brown and vakencia might well find themselves regularly hitting the pine in a couple of weeks, depends how the worm turnsOpen Controls
So folks:
Nani Vs Valencia
Sturridge Vs Mata
Jones Vs Evans
Sessegnon Vs Larsson
Aguero Vs Rooney
Richards Vs Kompany
Too many decisions!Open ControlsI don't see when I'm gonna get a chance to use my WC, can you? any suggestions extremely welcome
| Krul | | Vorm |
| Evans | | Richards | | BAE | | Simpson | | Caulker |
| Mata | | Silva | | Bale | | Nani | | Moses |
| RVP | | Sturridge | | Adebayor |
0.0 in the bankOpen ControlsSo, 51 points this week with Robin as captain (i should have put Bale, this sucks)
Who for Ba?. 0.6 in bank. I have money enough to bring Sturridge, is that a good idea?
Vorm
Jones, Caulker, Kompany, Vermaelen, Shotton
Nani, Bale, Silva, Walters, Allen
Morison Ba Robin
So:
Sturridge in, Ba out
Van der vaart in, Nani out
?Open Controlssturridge for ba makes sense, leave nani for next gw. Bale should cover u...man u should come good again (then again thats what i said this week after blackburn win)

My roommate. I admire him. No RVP, Kun and Rooney whole season and he beats meOpen ControlsRoommate? Why are you sharing a room?
Open ControlsHe's had Ba quite early on. Just shows what a massive season Ba's had and he's punching his weight with the traditional big hitters. My biggest mistake is not jumping on the Ba-ndwagon 🙁
