Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon, R.Taylor, Guthrie, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Shola Ameobi, Best.

QPR XI: Kenny, Hill, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Young, Wright-Phillips, Derry, Buzsaky, Mackie, Bothroyd, Helguson.

It’s more a case of who’s missing today rather than who’s playing. The home side have a chance to leap-frog Liverpool into sixth with a win today, but they’ll have to do so without arguably their best two players. Senegalese Demba Ba and Ivorian Cheick Tiote have escaped to warmer climates for the African Cup of Nations. In come Shola Ameobi and Danny Guthrie.

As for the visitors, Joey Barton is suspended so misses the opportunity to play at his former stomping ground, and Adel Taarabt (Morocco) and Armand Traore (Senegal) are on international duty.

    This is ridiculous with regards to Raylor.. He was dead on his feet a few weeks ago as a fantasy option, got the hook and was also benched for poor performances - It was the right time to shift him. He was then brought back to the side because Pardew had no other options otherwise he'd be bench fodder. He seems to have grabbed the second chance though so fair play to him. Too expensive to buy back now though damnit.

    He also got lucky with the yellow flag stopping him dropping more than .1 when he was shipped by a massive amount of fantasy teams a few weeks ago.

        No and coming from somebody with Sturridge in their starting 11, thats rich. Tempted to bring in Torres,looking a bit sharper and its only a matter of time until that illusive goal goes in. I was the same with RVP, as soon as I brought him in GW 6 he started rolling out the goals (not that Torres is in any way going to be in comparision with his form, I just have a feeling he's about to start up his engine

    Newcastle are an average team at best without Ba and Tiote, unfortunately QPR are very weak without Barton, Faurlin, Tarbat, Traore, etc.

    Note guys. IF cabeye is out for a while, Raylor becomes a no brainer. He will DEFINITELY play, whether it be midfield or full back as we will need him for set pieces. Great fixtures too. Terrible player though. My computer died for half of that half. How has he looked in mid?
