After a thrilling day of Premier League action yesterday, Super Sunday has a lot to live up to – and it just might. Four of the top five play each other, in what could prove be a monumental day in the 2011-12 season. Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Savic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Parker, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Defoe.

Once again Roberto Mancini cannot call upon the services of their suspended captain fantastic Vincent Kompany, but welcome Micah Richards back into the fold. Edin Dzeko continues up front with Sergio Aguero.

A huge boost for the visitors sees their captain and defensive rock, Ledley King, named amongst the starting eleven after missing the last five league games. Elsewhere, Jermain Defoe starts, replacing the ineligible Emmanuel Adebayor.

Once the dust has settled in Manchester, we turn our attention to the capital. Manchester United will be looking to capitalise on any dropped points from the earlier game, and Arsenal are seeking redemption from the humiliation at the hands of the Champions in the reverse fixture. In case your memory has failed you, it was 8-2.

    So so so annoyed. Spurs should have won it had Bale put in a better cross. Balotelli shouldn't have been on the pitch. Ageuro Captain.

    Really hate city... Would have loved Spurs to have been within a few points of the leaders

        Bale put the cross too far ahead of him. Bale poor cross rather than Defoe poor finish IMO.

    Great second half, I thought Howard Webb was excellent.

    Even if Balotelli did stamp on Parker, there's no chance he could have seen it and it'll be dealt with by the FA.

    Notes:

    1) Great goal Bale, good assist from Silva. Fixture proof.
    2) Balotelli DID stamp on Parker, but he was off-balanced and falling.
    3) Safe to say Adebayor is nailed on? 😉

    Hope Spurs can comeback from that vs Wigan next. That game to me was a repeat of the Community Shield - City 2-0 up, back to 2-2 and almost losing it 3-2 at the death.
