While his stamp on Scott Parker may have limited Roberto Mancini’s forward options over the upcoming Gameweeks, Mario Balotelli looks to have made matters a little less complicated for us Fantasy managers. With Fulham, Blackburn and Bolton all arriving at the Etihad between Gameweek 24-27, City’s front line looks primed for investment, with Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko vying for our attentions…

In this week’s “Versus” article for members, we take a look at both players’ displays over the last four Gameweeks, analysing their Opta and ICT Index stats, in addition to their overall Fantasy Premier League (FPL) output, to weigh up the pros and cons of their respective acquisitions.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Well, I have to say that after reading the 'VS' article and watching that game I have seriously had to reconsider Aguero over Dzeko.

The thing is, it really wouldn't surprise me if Dzeko did score more points than Aguero in GW23-25 but once will it justify missing out on GW 26-27 when Balotelli is back and City have 2 home games where Aguero (c) looks like a no brainer... HMMMM

Yeah and he will get 5-20 points over the 2 weeks, whereas Aguero could easily get 25+. That's a big swing when you have the armband on one of them.

Exactly. Aguero is less likely to be rotated, and on pens for a few weeks. Simplesssss

Obviously Dzeko will outscore him now!

Real Madrid cannot compete with Barca. They are inferior in every way. Madrid come out flying creating chances and not taking them. Barca come into the game and the game goes from looking like a 0-0 at half-time to Barca smashing in 2 goals.

i think its time fifa came out and clarified the hand ball rule. i havent seen richards one but just reading comments, it seems that people dont agree, even after watching replays. personally i think its a joke that a peno (and probable goal) is given when a ball richochets off a lad's arm (unless it looks like he's trying to block it with his arms stretched out).

another thing that may have swayed the decision was that richards right arm which was nowhere near the ball was also high as if his intention was to try to block the shot . This may have helped sway the decision against with regards to protecting himself.

his arms were high but the arm the ball hit after coming off his leg appeared to be up preventing the ball from smashing him in the face had it been going in that direction. To all intense purposes it was just a natural reaction and he was unlucky to have it given against him but his arms were raised so Dowd didn't really have any other option but give it , harsh , yes but raised arms

You make your own luck though. All the more reason to be winning if you are all over a team. They keep failing to take there chances then get made to pay for it. Not unlucky at all. Finish your chances and take the initiative.
