Our latest Monitor article for Members examines the progress of Antonio Valencia, a player who, over recent weeks, has emerged from the shadow of team-mate Nani to become a hugely popular Fantasy midfield option. With Wildcards in play and Nani struggling for returns, Valencia has been an established transfer target of late, attracting investment that triggered his first Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price rise this week.

We examine his progress over his recent spell of form, compare his raw statistics with those produced by Nani and place Valencia’s great strength – his ability to create chances – alongside the top performers over the last eight Gameweeks.

    "The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (2 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (4 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 21."

    Forgive my ignorance please but does this mean i can wait this week and play my wildcard for this weekends games??

      I like this team, but wonder if after this week you will want both Sess and McClean? I am looking to squeeze Mata into my team by losing Sess, but I suspect you haven't got the funds in which case there are few stand-out midfield options to upgrade to at the moment.

    Ivory Coast resting NINE regulars today and Angola need a point to go through. Angola are priced at a massive 5/1 and I think there is value in that. Will take a Draw No Bet or some kind of Asian to include the draw myself but I reckon this is great value guys!

      I would do Vorm to Lindy. and maybe downgrade Enrique (liverpool defence shaky and tough fixtures coming up). Maybe cahill. Mid field looks very good maybe too good. Maybe Valencia in for either demp or sess. But overall looks good to me.

    Any Fulham fans out there? Russian newspaper "СоветÑвкий Ñпорт" has just said that VfB Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is in London to agree terms on a six-month (at least) deal.

    So today alone Fulham have been linked with Barrios, Derdiyok, Rodallega and the ever-clueless Pogrebnyak. You've got to admire them for keeping a dull transfer window alive.

          Adebayor is a horrible dilemma for me. Spurs do have tough fixtures but i got him in at 8m so will lose out if i sell him and he hits form again.

      First of all your in big trouble if Bale gets injured......
      You do have a point but I am not sure if your right. I think i will go with a strong 8 espeically if wild carding. It makes sense to me to have a strong 8 just now. Likely over the next week or two somone will get injured then at that point you can downgrade whoever that is and put some cash in the bank. If you downgrade sess for mclean and then Bale gets injured your foreced to make a transfer.
