With yesterday’s results overshadowed by the now infamous non-handshake at Old Trafford, the Dugout Discussion opens today for what will hopefully be a controversy-free day of football. Having been displaced at the summit of the Premier League, Manchester City travel to Aston Villa where a draw will see them climb back to the top. Before that we have a Black Country derby to enjoy, as Wolves aim to drag their rivals West Brom in to the relegation scrap, and the Baggies try to increase their breathing space from it. Wolves XI: Hennessey, Foley, Johnson, Bassong, Ward, Doyle, Edwards, O’Hara, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher.

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Odemwingie, Morrison, Scharner, Mulumbu, Thomas, Fortune.

Mick McCarthy names an attacking side which features a trio of strikers in Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher. For the visitor’s, Liam Ridgewell makes his debut for West Brom at the expense of Nicky Shorey, and Paul Scharner starts ahead of Graeme Dorrans.

    Ditching Aguero this week is madness IMO. He's a flat-track home bully against bottom half teams. He's got double figure scores against Stoke, Fulham, Wigan and Swansea at home.
    He wasn't expected to score this week by most - play him Blackburn and Bolton and then if Rooney is still in form then switch.

      already 5000 transfers out - makes no sense whatsoever. i know most are for rooney who have a decent fixture away at norwich, but still those 2 home games for City could end up massive scores.

        I've benched him last two weeks. Luckily last week Kompany's absence relesed him. This GW I wasn't that lucky.

      Very tricky - Silva could have a field day v Blackburn. McClean won't score every week but West Brom very poor at home. Norwich leak goals and Valencia looked decent v Liverpool yesterday, so in form.

      I'd chuck Zamora into the equation and think about benching him; but I see Fulham scoring twice..

        Think i'll just go McClean and hold my breath. Tempted by Silva given that he either seems to get nothing or an assist. But the amount of chances he creates he could easily get 2 or 3 assist in a 3-0 win. Cheers for the advice

    I think Mancini is playing fantasy too and only reason why he put DZEKO and RICHARDS in for last 5 mins was to spoil as many fpl round results as possible. I think he only owns HART KOMPANY ans SILVA in his fantasy team... anyone joining this idea ...? 🙂
