With yesterday’s results overshadowed by the now infamous non-handshake at Old Trafford, the Dugout Discussion opens today for what will hopefully be a controversy-free day of football. Having been displaced at the summit of the Premier League, Manchester City travel to Aston Villa where a draw will see them climb back to the top. Before that we have a Black Country derby to enjoy, as Wolves aim to drag their rivals West Brom in to the relegation scrap, and the Baggies try to increase their breathing space from it. Wolves XI: Hennessey, Foley, Johnson, Bassong, Ward, Doyle, Edwards, O’Hara, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher.

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Odemwingie, Morrison, Scharner, Mulumbu, Thomas, Fortune.

Mick McCarthy names an attacking side which features a trio of strikers in Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher. For the visitor’s, Liam Ridgewell makes his debut for West Brom at the expense of Nicky Shorey, and Paul Scharner starts ahead of Graeme Dorrans.

      I'm in the same boat. Have had McClean on the bench for 4 weeks in a row. 25-30 something points or so lost. But that's life. Let's hope Aguero and Silva deliver...

    What is the average amount of points hits regarding transfers per season? How many is too much?

      No definite answer, depends on injuries etc. basically no more than a few hits in total I guess?

      It varies hugely. Personally I've only taken two hits, one -8 months ago and a -4 this week. Neither of them paid off atall, my gut feelings let me down 😉

      Really depends on the season & your style. I think I'm around 700th in the world right now and don't think i have taken more than one or two -4 hits. But in seasons past I'd taken 7 or 8...

      My rule is to never take hits unless you're absoletly sure you don't have 11 players. And even then.. I'd rather have 0p than the risk of a -3.

      Been working out pretty good so far.

      I answered on the other page, it's usually -100% that's needed, but for flagged players we dont really know..

    Bloody Fifa!! I get to the final of the Cup with CSKA Moscow. Here i was thinking you only play teams with the same star rating but oh no, i come up against someone who is Man Utd. I score in the first minute, he quits. Play again, come up against Utd again and lose 2-1. Shit.

      I have the same problem in cups using 4 and a half star teams. Almost everyone uses 5 star teams, especially in the higher rated cups and even more so in the final. I'm just sticking to season matches- 2 points away from the league title last season!
