cauker's ppi is pretty impressive for a 2-0 loss. was only 3ppi behind shotton in the end, and 8 behind goal, clean sheet and win upson, wtf

it's 9 points waiting to happen, after buying caulker purely for dirt cheap 5th defender this woodwork bashing goal threat is a pleasant, if agonising, surprise.

Richards to Lescott or Kompany - you need a player whos gonna start and Richards in in and out all the time.
Cant see anything wrong with the rest of it but that in itself may be a problem, theres no punts in there, its very generic (at least according to this forum).
Take a punt on Drogba, Nani, Lampard or VDV now he's fit.
Thats what I'm doing - trying to get the next big scorer in before anyone else does, if Gerrard stays fit I'll have him in at GW30 and O Hara is looking like last seasons O Hara at last.
Of course these are just my ideas and it cud go either way for me but I'm chasing a 70 point defecit in a money league$$ so I gotta think outside the box
      Time to gamble 🙂

    Ol' Bubbles: 49 points.
    Christina: 53 points - 4 point hit = 49 points.

My bench was right too (Lord Sigurdsson, Evans, Bardsley) but my captaincy was a flop again. I was pretty convinced that Aguero would be on the bench so went with Ba instead as I thought we'd batter Wolves.

Tough season to predict. In other news I did win the Paddy Power special 4/1 Aguero AGS bet. Has there ever been kinder odds? Wish I stuck more on it! It has pretty much paid for this natty little number though:

Yeah, I happened to be on twitter when @MCFC first posted about that offer, but didn't have any money in my Paddy Power account so couldn't get on it! Did many people do so? I can imagine they did. 4/1 was ludicrous odds!!

              I thought you were a maths student 😉 if I put 10 on at 1/2 I win 5. When I put 10 on at 4/1 I won 40.

Eh? 8/1 is 8 times better than 1/1, so 4/1 is 8 times better than 1/2, no?

8/1 isn't 8 times better than 1/1, if you put 10 pounds and win in each - in 8/1 you get 90 pounds back (80 won + 10 original) and in 1/1 you get 20 back (10 won + 10 original) so it's only 4.5 times better.

It's profit that counts in betting. 8/1 is obviously 8 times better than 1/1, it doesn't really get more straightforward than that 😉

                    8/1 as a percentage of likelihood is 11.11% (1 out of 9)

                    1/2 as a percentage is 66.66% (2 out of 3)

Therefore 1/2 is 6 times as likely as 8/1.

                    Jamsiep is correct.

Why thankyou Doosra - was a good match-up in the end. Glad to have won on points rather than from playing at home.
Also the first time I've been on the receiving end of a dodgy assist all season.

based on chris glover's article - http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2012/02/24/feature-risk-vs-reward/ - has anyone considered bringing in walcott? fairly consistent returns but are there reasons why one shouldn't buy him?

Blank GW29. Also a rotation risk now with the Ox and Gervinho back.
Not a terrible pick though - could well be my Dempsey replacement.

Cheers Mac. Yeah, considering Sess --> Walcott but based purely on Glover's piece, not much difference there and Sess is close to 2m cheaper as well. Hmmm decisions, decisions...

After yesterday's match I'm almost decided on bringing him in. Ginkapo made a good point that it looked like Wenger may have abandoned the 2 wingers approach and uses a midfielder (Benayoun yesterda) to stay back and cover the midfield allowing Walcott to play further forward on the right, almost like a 4-4-2. Indeed, he scored 2 goals.

Compared to some of my mids he might be an explosive - and indeed more consistent - option.

Probably cos he has been horrid at finishing in the recent past and hence solely seen as an assister of 60% RVP goals.

That being said, the NLD brought out the best in him in terms of finishing.

The Jolminator would just like to announce his great surprise at his crappy bunch of grafters pulling off a shock home win by the tiniest of margins over the vastly higher ranked FC Twente - 48-47 was the final score with home advantage. Liverpool v Cardiff has nothing on this sh*t.

Both my gamble (Taiwo) and Shipstontrev's (Raylor) failed miserably - one more point for Ships and he would have beaten me! He also got an extra point with Raylor going off before the second goal went in!

Great effort and you scared the sh*t out of me all weekend!

I’ve got a 3 week plan in motion from last week to finally get him back without having to get rid of anyone too important, it had better pay off!

    GW26: No transfer
    GW27: Ben Arfa>Surman
    GW28: Hart and Welbeck> Friedel/De Gea & Rooney.

Hoping De Gea keeps his place so I can double up on our defence but who knows, he has been awesome of late.

      Very revolutionary ideas, Fratboy.
I don't quite like Surman (you never know with Norwich mids) and DDG (will always get a rest in the odd easy games). Roonpig/Friedel are great options, though gw28 is early for Friedel.

Groups GHIJKL in the Europa league have been updated, the closest match was between Fulham Vs Twente(Isacki and shipstontrev) who were just seperated by a single point! thanks to Fulham's home advantage they win it, the biggest margin of victory was in the match between AZ and Malmo(The count of monte hristo and sea unicorn) where Malmo were soundly thrashed by a margin of 17 points. Groups ABCDEF will also be updated soon. Thanks.
