Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Daniel Sturridge and Didier Drogba are both fit and available for Chelsea’s trip to West Brom.

Gareth Bale’s hamstring injury isn’t as serious as first feared and will be assessed this weekend by Tottenham, while Kyle Walker looks likely to be available for Harry Redknapp’s side. Spurs’ Sunday showdown counterparts, Manchester United, have a fit-again Wayne Rooney amongst their ranks, but are without Antonio Valencia and Tom Cleverley.

Stephane Sessegnon is reportedly late back from international duty and will be assessed before the North East Derby. Their equals will be able to call upon Papiss Cisse, who missed duty with Senegal in midweek but has since recovered from a groin problem, according to Alan Pardew this afternoon.

FPL should consider some of the scoring rules from MLS Fantasy.

Attacking Bonus

Players will score extra points for positive play:
1 point for every 3 crosses (A cross is defined where the ball is played to their own player in the penalty area)
1 point for every 3 key passes (A key pass is one that leads to a shot at goal)
1 point for every big chance created (A big chance is one where the analyst determines the player should score)
-1 point for every big chance missed

Defending Bonus

Players wil also score extra points for good defending:
1 point for every 6 clearances, blocks or interceptions
1 point for every 6 recovered balls
-1 point for every error leading to a goal

I like it. It would make player like De Jong get more points.

Well, Jonty - I will let you know how I get on - but it is my intention to sell Bale for Yaya - I have Adebayor.

Next week, I will have Rooney ... and maybe Nani also. But ... I will have to decide between Yaya and Silva. As I'm rubbish, I do expect this all to go horribly wrong!!! 😀

      exactly. the papers/sies are the villains here, what happened to if you don't know don't report? bizarre. this appears to be the protocal:
      1) hear of player pulling out an international.
      2) is he a big enough player for anyone to care? if yes continue to 3.
      3) find out where the problem is (hamstring?)
      4) do 5mins research into hamstring injuries.
      5) write a definite headline 'player X to miss x weeks'
      6) write the article, but replace every 'will' with 'could' 'maybe' and every X weeks with 'up to X weeks.'
      7) include goal.com sources at least once so someone might think it has some substance
      8) go to bed, wake up, look in the mirror and be slightly ashamed of yourself.

thoughts on Andrews - he's played 45 mins and 90 mins and scored 10 points both times. Would be 3rd place benchwarner and free's up funds for Skrtel, Baines or other expensive players next GW.

Think I might have to drop four points this week. So far this is what I've got:

Krul-Mignolet
Richards-RTaylor-Taiwo-Rangel-JEvans
Walters-Walcott-Bale-Sessegnon-Dempsey
Aguero-RVP-Fletcher

So far some surgery is definitely possible. RVP/Bale in yellow... Are Pogrebnyak and Papiss Cisse worth looking at? Anyone else?
