    The best replacement for Silva seems to be Gerard. The next 2 fixtures in particular are very enticing. Its a pity the DGW has already gone though so perhaps that boat is already missed?

    qpr, WIG, new, AVL, bla, FUL, WBA, nor, CHE, swa

    Can we trust Liverpool to get plenty of goals over this spell? They are relatively easy fixtures although some teams will be desperate to avoid relegation and Liverpool don't have a lot to play for and Gerard is injury prone.

            You not worried about Lampard being a rotation risk? What with Chelsea being in the FA Cup and CL. I think their home game against Wigan is 2 days before the 2nd leg of the CL.

        I am seriously thinking of having Gerrard and Lampard too. Altough I would also opt for Bale/VDV instead of Nani. Siggy is a season keeper now and I am thinking of B Arfa if he starts to look the goods

              I am worried by that. Swans are hard to predict but Fulham are good at home. But I think Norwich will score. It's really tough.

                I am of strong belief that Norwich will score. I am playing Krul over Vorm, but not doubling up with Simpson. I am losing faith with Newcastle defending and am contemplating selling Simpson or Krul.

      It'd be difficult to stomach if Caulker kept a CS on your bench and Demps got nothing, no? That said I think Santon, if he plays, is more likely to concede less goals. So... tough decision - I don't envy you.

      Well, I'm seriously considering Mata to Gerrard (instead of re-instating Bale in my team).

      Stevie G has a good a chance of any at being top scoring mid in last 10 weeks. This ain't bias talking...I always leave that at the door playin FPL

    Is that ManU out of all cups with only League to focus on?

    If Young, Valencia, Nani all fit is it likely that they would all play with V doing into defense? Or you think one will always be rested?

        Valencia only goes to defence when injuries force Fergie's hand during a game. I would like to have seen Valencia on the bench at least tonight which would have given a better indication of his starting prospects agst Wolves

      Hell is more likely to freeze over than Valencia playing RB at any point for the rest of the season. Nani is most likely to be dropped or rested IMO

          Then Chico or Welbeck wont be playing, cant see SAF omitting both in the line up. Rooney will be behind or the other IMO. Your suggestion is also a possibility, but Young has not played behind Rooney for United then again all three have not been fit at the same time.

          I have no idea of the City front line with Tevez returning but I just don't see it being worth the risk to invest in any of them. I'm keeping Ba until matters settle but Ade may feature if he can find some form.

        What would you improve with an extra £2M though? No midfield options in the mid price range appeal to me at all. Friedel/Bogdan is the only area I'd upgrade.

          you dont need to spend the max limit to have a good team. I would keep the money so that when other good transfers/fixtures pop up you can do changes with the min'm of fuss and avoid unnecessary hits. Flexibility being the main thing here. its quite a solid team you have as it is otherwise.

      Definitely avoid Rio. He gets rotated these days. De Gea, Evans or Evra although the latter is a bit expensive.

    Hrrm can't say I like Mark's wildcard 5 transfer alternative. They should just do away with the January wildcard altoether and go back to the old system of 1 to be played any time. It means managers will have to plan their teams better and rewards those who keep their WC until/after January.
