Gameweek 29 concludes this evening with four of the top five Premier League clubs in action. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens to absorb your reactions to the events as they unfold. The team news from all four games is in and, starting with the two games about to kick-off, are as follows…
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Toure, Clichy, Silva, Toure Yaya, De Jong, Nasri, Aguero, Balotelli.
Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Torres.
A major blow for City is that their captain Vincent Kompany again misses through injury, so Micah Richards moves infield to partner Kolo Toure in central defence with Pablo Zabaleta returning at right-back. Despite previously claiming his career at the club over, Roberto Mancini has named Carlos Tevez amongst his substitutes.
As for Chelsea, Roberto Di Matteo gives Fernando Torres a chance to build on his two FA Cup goals from the weekend, meaning Didier Drogba sits on the bench.
Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Parker, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Saha.
Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Palacios, Diao, Jerome, Walters, Crouch.
Several changes for both sides include starts for Ledley King, Younes Kaboul and Niko Kranjcar in white, whilst Jermaine Pennant replaces the injured Matthew Etherington for Tony Pulis’ side.
QPR XI: Kenny, Young, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Traore, Barton, Derry, Diakite, Taarabt, Zamora, Cisse.
Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Jose Enrique, Kuyt, Spearing, Adam, Downing, Gerrard, Suarez.
Djibril Cisse faces his former club tonight in a side that has spots for both Luke Young and Adel Taarabt. They replace Clint Hill and Shaun Wright-Phillips respectively. Kenny Dalglish opts to drop Andy Carroll to the bench, and he brings in both Charlie Adam and Dirk Kuyt.
Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Pienaar, Fellaini, Osman, Drenthe, Cahill, Jelavic.
Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Walcott, Arteta, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, van Persie.
Steven Pienaar returns to Premier League action in place of the injured Seamus Coleman, and Leon Osman captains Everton because Tony Hibbert comes in for Phil Neville at right-back.
Another player facing a previous employer tonight is Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, who starts in a side making one change from the home win over Newcastle – Aaron Ramsey gets the nod ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
