Sorry if this is obvious. What was Cahill given the goal. Completely off target shot which took a deflection to go in?

Chills show would have ended up closer to the corner flag than the goal.

Ok folks thoughts on holding Bale. I am bringing Ade in next week. Am thinknig of bringing Theo in this week, but don't know whether to take out Bale (can we really see him doing anything this week?) or Clint (meaning I'd be benching Bale and have no Clint vs Norwich). Want to get Verm in as wll, but this could be done by swapping Young to Valencia. (Then I only have SantonTaiwo to take care of (and swap out for Ridgwell)

Looking at a score of 51 this week, what do people think will be the qualifying score for Paddy Power Cup, I know its a stab in the dark just looking at things to do to pass the time whilst we await the updates being done.

Was asked to post this earlier (letter published on football365 this morning) by Doosra, so here it is:

Where It's Going Wrong For Spurs
Obviously disappointed with the performance last night (we really needed a win to get things going again), but I've been meaning to chuck something your way for a few weeks now. There's been a lot of guff written about Spurs and Redknapp recently; are they off-form, have they just had a tough run, have they been unlucky, are they unsettled by 'Harry for England' hype etc. I think last night pretty much showed they are off form. Misplaced passes, poor crossing, no rhythm, no width, and you could see the frustration on players faces. There's two points I'd like to pick up on from it all.

Firstly, Gareth Bale. I think the manager's over-experimented with him and given him too much of a free role. Away at Norwich over Christmas, he was fantastic and won the game for us playing more as a counter-attacking centre forward. Trouble is, I think Bale's starting to believe he's capable of a kind of floating, play-maker role and I'm just not convinced. I'd like to see him get back to playing more directly on the wings again.

Secondly, Louis Saha. The 4-4-2 system clicked against Toon, but I reckon that's where some of the recent problems started. I'm not sure the integration of Saha into the team hasn't been some kind of vanity project on the part of Redknapp. I'm not questioning the player's ability, but why change a winning system to fit him in? I thought Harry's fist-pumping reactions as the goals went in against Toon were out of character and the cynic in me wondered if it was a display from a man wanting the world to take note of a piece of clever management/astute transfer dealing/tactical nous. We have had injuries that have forced changes in personnel, but why the change in system? On the whole, it's been a great season for Spurs so far, but I'm just hoping we can rediscover the system of playing (where VDV doesn't look so lost) that created such a rich vein of form.

I don't think signing Saha was necessarily a bad move, it's more how he's been used. I was envisaging him as an impact sub rather than a starter.

And, yeah, we have missed Lennon on the right.

Combination of many things IMO. Looks like we're running out of steam. Lack of rotation is a constant problem. Parker's come back down to earth, struggling since a knee injury from a few weeks ago. Poor execution on set pieces.

Actually he has 7 goals from open play this season and 1 penalty, which isn't bad.

No it's a great return considering his game time. Just when he was on penos he can have a bad game and still come away with 7 points.

Which combo would you have from GW 32 onwards?

    A:Bale/VDV and Drogba

    B:Lampard and Adebayor

    C:Neither and neither 😉

got lost in the shuffle over BPs

Ok folks thoughts on holding Bale. I am bringing Ade in next week. Am thinknig of bringing Theo in this week, but don’t know whether to take out Bale (can we really see him doing anything this week?) or Clint (meaning I’d be benching Bale and have no Clint vs Norwich). Want to get Verm in as wll, but this could be done by swapping Young to Valencia. (Then I only have Santon\Taiwo to take care of (and swap out for Ridgwell) Or I could get a budget option in (as I'll be playing Siggy every week and go up defensively (so Young/Valencia/Theo and Siggy every week)

if you are getting Ade i think he's enough attacking coverage for Spurs.
I would take out Bale for Theo.
      Swap Young for Valencia now.

I did it for a 4 pointer. My logic: I have a transfer Ill want to do next week, so its either wait a few weeks (unacceptable) or take the hit this week...

You may be right, but there as so many changes to make that that one for a hit may not be the best.

Also beginning to think GW33 is a better time for Ade, Swansea are much better now and Sunderland are good at home.

Yes, cause Valencia got 16 points. Morrison 2 and Drogba 1

That is 19 points. 7 points made.

Players I transferred out was Odemwingie 0, Bale 5, Miyaichi 0.

So I made 2 points on it...-..-

so on your 3 players you got 2 points. Does it mean that from your other8 players you got, what 8 points? man, that is disaster, have 3 players that will bring you 2 points. My Skrtel, Adam and Santon brought me 3 points, more than yours.

Our best player. Plenty of shots and crosses. I just wonder if his freedom to roam has come at the expense of structure in the rest of the time.
      Still FPL gold though.

Just happened to catch the highlights.

He still looks a beast at WHL - pretty unlucky cos had a shot that hit the woodwork. Loads of quality crosses. Definitely keeping him for SWA atleast.

Could have had a shed load of points. Spurs poor but Bale wasn't. Hit the bar with a ferocious effort, at least one other that whistled just past the post. Got the one assist but again, with better finishing from others could have been more.

IMO Bale was the most influental player on the pitch, in terms of shots, crosses, dribles.

Can't understand how he didn't get bonus points. Especially since Pennant did. The only thing he did of note was falling over and rolling on the ground.

Have Yaya, Bale, Valencia and McClean. Will bring in Siggy for McClean next week.

Also have Silva but need to ship ASAP. But who too?

Gerrard, Walcott or someone else I'm missing. Could really do with some inspiration from anyone willing to assist....I'll give you 3pts!
