A pivotal Premier League game kicks off Gameweek 30, with Champions League qualification on the line. The Dugout Discussion opens as 5th placed Chelsea host 4th placed Tottenham. A rare win for the visitors today (no win at Stamford Bridge since 1990) would not only stop the rot, but also go a long way to sealing their berth in Europe’s elite competition. The team sheets from Stamford Bridge are in, and are as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Sturridge, Drogba.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Modric, Parker, Sandro, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor.

A host of changes for Chelsea sees Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres all dropped to the bench. In come Jose Bosingwa, captain John Terry, Daniel Sturridge and Didier Drogba.

Harry Redknapp is boosted by the return of Emmanuel Adebayor, who starts with Rafael Van der Vaart at the expense of Louis Saha. Elsewhere, William Gallas and Sandro replace Ledley King (not in squad) and Niko Kranjcar.

Following that we’ve got another seven games to pour over, finishing at the Britannia Stadium where Manchester City will be looking to go back to the summit of the league, if only for one night.

    You need enthusiasm as a manager to get your players to believe in what you're doing. Dalglish, AVB and Hughes are all miserable. You wouldn't enjoy playing for any of them.

    Just got home to see the scores. Not happy at all. Nothing from RVP, no CS for Skrtel and Vorm. Miyachi & Taiwo on bench 🙁

    Young or Valencia you reckon to start at Blackburn(A) ? scared that Young would be bench again tho regardless of his good return in Fulham. i cant afford my united mid dont play for Blackburn, thats a gold for united players. what you guys reckon ?

    If walcott rises by max of 0.2 this week, it will be splendid for me.
    I could do Suarez->Adebayor this week followed by Dempsey->Walcott next week.

    But I am still unsure what happens to tottenham's fixture in gw34. If tottenham win against bolton in midweek, will their premier league match be scheduled for midweek during gw34?

      Caulker is only third with most clean sheets in Swansea defence. Also, Monk has 5, which is impressive enough imo.

      Spurs have hard time scoring, they can still win, but 1-1 wouldn't shock me.

      No. I really don't see the appeal in Dempsey anymore - I shipped him for Valencia this week. Demps is only effective at home, and even then, there's no guarantee he'll do the business.

    Was going to leave my team and wait to have 2FT. With Holt suspended and Caulker unable to play @ Spurs should I look into making a change? Could take a 4 point hit and downgrade Skrtingboard and upgrade Holt?

    Or leave it alone and just string an Xl together?

    Me - 23 points with Young as my differential (or Taiwo off the bench if he sits another one out) 10 point lead at GW start

    Guy in 2nd - 11 points with Valencia, Yaya and Raylor/BAE

    Guy in 3rd 22 points with Simpson.
