Emmanuel Adebayor is a considerate soul. The on loan Tottenham striker is currently rebuilding a school and creating two new hospitals in his native Togo, where he has also rather kindly given up his home to 100 orphans.

It’s not just back in his home country where his generosity is attracting attention. Back in the Premier League, Adebayor is a striker who just can’t stop giving. Time and time again this season, the striker has pulled out some surprise points hauls to lift the spirits of the 9.3% of Fantasy managers who have acquired his services.

With a total of 147 points, he is the joint-fourth top striker in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Adebayor has proven to be both goalscorer and provider in almost equal measure; 11 goals has impressed, while 12 assists is more than any other forward this season. He’s hoovered up the bonus points too, with his current haul of 21 fourth best for frontmen.

The 9.0 priced striker has been capable of explosive returns this term, too. Adebayor has produced four double digit weekly points hauls to date and is also a member of an elite club of players that have smashed the 20 point barrier in a gameweek, with a score of 21 in the Gameweek 25 five-goal hammering of Newcastle also hinting at a blossoming relationship with fellow on-loan striker Louis Saha.

With this excellent track record, it’s no surprise to see us turn our attentions to Adebayor as Tottenham begin their charitable set of fixtures from now until the end of the season. Today’s confirmation of a double Gameweek 36 for Harry Redknapp’s side means the Togo international has (SWA, sun, NOR, blank, qpr, BLA & bol) in the next six, with the trip to Sunderland the only potential pitfall, while the double against Blackburn and Bolton is surely set to see plenty investment come his way.

There are caveats. He can have a tendency to appear to wander in games and barely make a shot on goal, though sometimes his lethargic swagger can mask his hard work. Adebayor is still amongst the very top strikers in the Premier League in terms of attempts on goal and passing in the opposition half, though the fact that he has failed to score more than 2 points on twelve occasions will worry his would-be investors.

With Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie’s form making them arguably undroppable, Adebayor is a relatively expensive addition to many mangers’ frontlines but, as a first-choice forward in a top-four team, with spot-kicks also in the bag, the 9.0 price tag has still proven to be strong value.

As Spurs returned to winning ways in the 3-1 FA Cup defeat of Bolton in midweek, the London outfit could be set to take advantage of their obliging run of fixtures as they hunt down Arsenal in the chase for third; Adebayor could prove to be a key acquisition over the remainder of the season as the race between the north London rivals heats up.

Skrtel > Vermaelen for a free transfer?

Taking out a defender at home for someone who's away is making me doubt the move.

    Liverpool have:
    Newcastle VILLA Rovers

    Arsenal have:
    Qpr MAN CITY Wolves

One thing I do know and that's Vermaelen will easily make my defence for every GW in the next 5 (at least), and he's also playing GW34, so I don't think it's the worst transfer I could do.

will take some time if he makes a full recovery, but very much doubt he will be playing football in the next few years. But look at our very own Neil Harris diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2001 went on to become Millwall's all time leading goal scorer and still banging goals in for southend this season.

EUROPA League Final Group Matches - Previews

Group G (as previously mentioned I will not cover Group's F and J as the outcome of both has already been decided)

One the tightest groups, there is still everything to play for in this one, with only Malmo under seaunicorn having been eliminated, leaving us with 1 side on 10 points and 2 others on 9. At the head of the queue we find the 1966 led, Metalist Kharkov. This Columbian/Ukrainian/Frenchman has guided his side to the brink of qualification, yet such is the state of the group that they could still potentially finish in 3rd place. Also in the hunt we find Austria Wien (Vienna) led by E's Eleven and AZ, led by the Count of Monte Hristo. This one is tough to call. The maths is simple, the winner of AZ and Metalist qualifies, the loser will be out unless Malmo can pull off a shock and beat Wien. This would leave it down to gd with AZ leading Wien by 10 and Metalist way out in front. Yes folks this could be very tight indeed.

AZ (Count of Monte Hristo) v Metalist (1966) Another winner take all match-up, both sides know victory will see them into the knockouts, and both know defeat will see them out. Metalist have the comfort of knowing a draw sees them safe. AZ's transfers are not visible to me, so I can't give you an idea of what he may have done, but with Grant Holt and Steven Caulker unavailable, if any action has been taken I expect the former to have departed. I think, however, that both will simply sit this week out. The same is true for 1966, but I anticipate that 1966 may have been on board the Ba to Cisse train this week.

    Predicted Line-Ups

AZ - Schwarzer, Skrtel, Evans, Ridgewell, Valencia, Bale, Siggy, Walcott, Dempsey., Rooney, RvP

Metalist - Schwarzer, Evans, Skrtel, Simpson, Walcott, Valencia, Bale, Miyachi, RvP, Rooney, Cisse

Key Battle - virtually identical these 2 are hard to split. This battle may come down to Dempsey v Miyachi and the captain choice.

    Prediction - Narrow home win

Austria Wien (E's Eleven) v Malmo (seaunicorn) Wien will be confident of securing a home win against group whipping boys Malmo and securing their passage into the next round. I do not anticipate any changes for what look a strong Wien side. For Malmo there may be a change in midfield with Pilkington the most likely departure and Barfa or Miyachi the most likely arrival.

    Predicted Line-Ups

Wien - Krul, Verm, Evans, Kompany, Valencia, Yaya, Siggy, Dempsey, RvP, Rooney, Suarez

Malmo - Vorm, Evans, Simpson, BAE, Enrique, Bale, Valencia, Miyachi, Rooney, RvP, Pog

Key Battle - Dempsey v Pog

Prediction - Home win, but AZ will have to settle for 2nd place. Metalist to miss out.

MIGHTY MIGHTY GINKVAN, BRATISLAPING ALL IN FRONT OF THEM! Given previous endeavours it looks unlikely that Requielme will be able to stand in the way of the mighty onslaught that pursues all obstacles.

At the start of the campaign there were those who considering Ginkapo an inept manager, however speculation is growing as to whether it is possible than Bratislapo will make the final, and will the four Arsenal Gunners (Miyachi included) lead to the ultimate victory in Europe.

I agree there is no point, (it was me that suggested as much yesterday if you remember)

But I do want to get the media coverage, it is an issue that I feel is important as a manager. So in this endeavour I shall drum it up myself with self congratulating/adoration posts.

I have Papiss but that is because i couldnt afford Ade. I have a feeling Spurs are gonna be proper head down and get business done, Ade could benefit a lot from this especially with their run of fixtures + you set yourself up for the DGW.

I want to know this too.

Currently I have it on Krul, since Bolton are pretty awful. But Newcastle are without first choice CBs, Liverpool are scoring, and Bogdan had a blinder in the FA Cup match against Tottenham.

My fear is that its do or die for Wolves now, so I can see them scoring.

Need some strategic advice for this GW lads. Finally dropped to 2nd in my mini league, 4 points behind first.

My starting 11 for this week will be:

    Krul
    Kelly Vermaelen Evans
    Valencia Dempsey Sigurdsson Bale
    Rooney Ba RVP
    (Mignolet Skrtel Simpson Morrison)

Meanwhile the guy in first will have a choice from:

    Krul Vorm
    Evans Shawcross Enrique Bosingwa RTaylor
    Valencia Bale Barfa Gerrard Chamberlain
    RVP Rooney Yakubu

I've got the captaincy on Dempsey. I'm guessing my opponent will put his on Rooney. Don't know whether to change my captaincy because Dempsey is already a differential, or go for glory and hope I get lucky. Would choose captaincy between Valencia RVP and Rooney.

Any thoughts on this from you FPL master tacticians?

I think with only being 4 points behind I'll go for RVP then. Was just tempted by Fulham being at home and my opponent not having him. What about Valencia? Blackburn can't defend for toffee and Rooney looked like he was dropping a lot deeper against Fulham.

leaning towards Ba as a matter of fact. Crazy? Can't help but expect another 2 pointer from him at this point.

Go for who you think will score the most. Best way to catch up to rivals is by playing your best team each week and ignoring what they do.

Tough decision anywa thoughy, RVP and Rooney both very good options this week

    Rooney(VC)-RVP(C)-P Cisse

    my defence:

    Forwards:
    Rooney, Ba, RvP

Since my midfield is OK at the moment should I do:

    (A) Santon -> BAE

    (B) Ba -> Ade (or another e.g. Cisse)
