        Not many players in the history of PL maintained that kind of form all season long was my point.

        If RVP does drop off it gives a lot of people a chance to catch up in their leagues as he is the go to captain guy

          RVP has been like this when fit, he's just struggled to get full seasons.
          See last season for example, he was in this same goal scoring form when fit..
          When he plays he scores.

    I know it's probably been talked to death already but only just logged on for today. Went on fpl his morning and Ba had the assist, now it's gone. What's happening? This could be crucial in my mini league as my opponent has Barfa I had Ba.

        Ive seen the incident and it is hard to tell. I think the ball seems to speed up after Barfa and whichever Liverpool player was challenging him went in. But it so hard to tell who, if any, got a touch. I think seeing as Ba made the initial pass, and it hasn't changed direction, and it's so difficult to see it anyone got a touch, then by rights it should stay with Ba unless there is inconclusive evidence that Barfa touched it.

          No, the camera behind the goal shows 100% that Ben Arfa was not actually that near the ball, much less touched it.

          No debate, no lack of clarity, just out and out completely wrong.

    have only seen replays on a stream but are people really that confident that it wasn't a ben arfa assist? have seen enough to know the ball diverts a bit at the point were ben arfa and the sliding carragher are but could not see any clear indication of who gets the touch. basically it's like rooney/welbeck gate, not sure it's clear either way.
    anyone with the technology please state otherwise

      Yeah, there was a replay shown from a camera up high behind the goal that showed HBA wasn't even near the ball (in football terms of course). 100% not even up for debate, it's Ba's assist.

      I have no idea why they can't get this right.

      Working from home today (lol), so I'll try and record it when the replay comes on at lunchtime.

        have seen again and ben arfa would be intending to pass to cisse whilst carragher is trying to slide the ball back towards ba's side. the ball definitely changes direction slightly at the point where carragher and ben arfa are. 1 angle suggests ben arfa poke, the other suggests both players miss it. if anything i'm leaning towards the ben arfa assist as the ball does change direction and he would be intending to play the ball where it went

      Dribbling past a player is good for the PPI which Duff managed a few times. Bale, Valencia and Walcott have got 2 BPs in games where they had no goals or assists based mainly on their dribbling. If you spent your entire match dribbling and shooting on target it'd be great for you PPI.
