We’ve had the ball in for an examination – we’ve screened it for fibres from Hatem Ben Arfa’s boots and we can now reveal that the results were inconclusive. The forensics proved nothing – Quincy has let us down.

As you may have guessed, last weekend’s events at the Sports Direct Arena and the Fantasy Premier League’s assist ruling provides the topic of discussion for this week’s ScoutCast. Wrapped around that, Mark and I throw in the usual regulars and I try my best to keep my chin up throughout, despite the widening mini-league gap.

Bring this week’s episode in for an examination via this link. Or stream the evidence from the handy player below.

Yeap, defender decisions are difficult this week.

I need your keepers to help decide....

      k....so....if i this is me....

      Vorm
      Jevans, Enrique, BAE

You're playing Vorm, and I dont like Swans' chances quite enough to double up. I know pool are bad, but its a nice fixture.

      Evans, Skrtel, BAE (Simpson, Kelly)

had Simpson in earlier, but decided to swap BAE in

captaining Valencia instead of Rooney this week?

    Keeping Ba for the double?

No, although I'm very very tempted.

I sold Ba for Adebayor last week but I really think I'm going to buy Ba instead of Cisse for the double gameweek.

Can't see Rooney dropping as deep in this one...

As of late Valencia's hauls have been away, but he did score v QPR in the reverse fixture...

I think their scores will be very similar, so for the risk your taking, I don't think you'll see the reward you'll expect...

Rooney with pens and playing further up the field, swings it for me...

I got rid of Ba a long time ago... maybe it's time to let go...

to be fair, Im not keeping because I want to: Im keeping because it really is the best option I see.

I dont want to get rid because there just arent any GW34 strikers I want. After that, why get rid of him before his double? Even if I a get another double GW striker, its a sideways transfer.

I have the exact same problem with Suarez...

I have thought that maybe it's best to retain him for 35-36 (WBA, nor, FUL)...

On paper those are very decent fixtures but Liverpool are just utter shite at the moment, and I can't see that changing...

In relation to you, if you see Ba's scoring form or LW position changing then you have to make that call to retain him... if not then just swallow your pride and do the 'sideways' transfer...

Yeah, but sideways transfers means not having one of Baines, Ade, or a Spurs defender....or having only 7 DGWers even with a hit. Blech.

And its just not worth NOT having one of those for that transfer.

It's an unnecessary risk, Udit. Yes rvp could get a haul of 2 goals and an assist but he could also easily end up just getting 2 pts.

Don't switch to RVP because Rooney is the saver choice.

As long as someone is flying the spurs banner (so what if we are in the disguises of city, and porto), I am happy too.

I think you got Siggy this week so he is cancelled out. I am not doing any transfer this week, so you will have to be careful next week.

As for Spurs, are you going with the trio of bale, ade, vdv for gw36 or bale,ade,bae/walker/freidel for gw36?

              Let the best team win!

Right back at you: best of luck.

I did get Siggy, for sure. True Cancelling there. There is some mystery over benching Dempsey or Ryo, which would obviously make a big difference for us. All defenders after that.

Saving transfer eh? Scary next week, for sure.

Not sure about VDV vs. Spurs defender. If I end up keeping Ba, it will be a defender for sure. If Ba goes, then I will be not getting a spurs defender at all....although Im thinking they might be kinda essential.

Graham, Bendtner are the only two other possible candidates. If you don't want either of them, you could stick with Ba. Frankly, I had suggest you try to get one of these two players, even if you aren't so keen on them, otherwise you will end up sticking with Ba for the dgw as you will have other transfers to think of. And I just don't see Ba getting good returns in the that dgw based on his current fantasy form.

Got three swans players, so graham is out

fear of rotation for bendy, so no-go there

I dont see Ba getting great returns either, but I just dotn see better options. Its not the worst thing in the world to hold on. Its just way easier to get rid of other players right now.

I would say that the scoring potential of the two between now and the DGW is pretty even.

      Dave is cheaper

Dave has crap fixtures, GW37&38. Ade doesn't basically

In summary, if your plan would allow you to either bench dave (or sell him) for the last two, get dave. If you can't. Get Ade. Does that make sense?

Yes, it makes sense and thanks for the reply. I think I'm favouring Ade simply because I can stick him in the team until the end and leave him there. I feel I kind of missed the boat on Cisse and the time to buy him was 3/4 weeks ago - it feels late now, given the fixtures and the gw34 blank. Having said that though if he continues to rip it up I can always get him later, although that would mean selling Rooney.

Oh that is tough, really tough. I'd probably go Dempsey but through gritted teeth. Have you not got anything else worse than that?

Bit of a strange question - looking to do these 3 transfer over GW32-34, but not sure on the order - only thing I'm sure of is Kos needs to come in after this week incase he gets booked and subsequently banned. Any suggestions?

Shotton, Skrtel & Surman -> Kaboul, Koscielny & McClean

Likewise I'm struggling a bit with transfers and sequence. What I've decided is that aslong as I can field a decent team (and enough on the bench), then I'm saving transfers until required (injury, rotation, someone's on fire). I reckon a lot will change between now and GW36, what with so many games in so little time. Keep transfers for when vital....

Yeah same, I have 2 freebies this week though so need to use 1. Had originally planned on doing Shotton -> Kaboul this week, but now that Pennant and Etherington are doubts I'm thinking of doing Surman -> McClean and starting Shotton in place of Caulker. Thoughts?

        Migs, Bogdan
        JEvans, Kompany, Caulker, Skrtel, Shotton

Ah okay, would bring in McClean who will be useful after this week. Surman looks like dead wood.....

G'day all. How's this line up looking for the GW?

    Mignolet
    Evans - Caulker - Cahill
    Valencia (c) - Bale - Walcott - Yaya
RVP - Rooney (vc) - Cisse

    Krul - McClean - BAE - Kelly

All suggestions for captain, bench and keeper welcome....

Same here, I've just decided to go with Mignolet. Spurs can be poor away from home and Swansea are good at home. Also home keeper rule applies....

and if Spurs do play well, Migs will likely get a good dose of saves.

      Ok then...

      My team at the moment:
      Vorm (Schwarzer)
      JEvans Baines Vermaelen
      Bale Dempsey Valencia
      RvP Rooney Cisse
      (McAuley Simpson Surman)
      0.3m in bank

      should I play McAuley?

Plan is to play maybe 1 short for GW34 and use 3 free transfers by GW36.

Yeah, reckon that's a close one. Thinking that if I'm playing Dempsey it restricts my points total if I play Bogdan as well!!

Hmm, despite Swansea being fairly tight at home I fancy Newcastle to score today - they look very good going forwards at the moment. Also, Norwich give away a lot of pens and are fairly leaky at the back, so I see Everton scoring. So, Baines for me.
