    44 points, Dempsey sold, Krul and Vermaelen on the bench. Only positive is that I captained my highest scoring player. However, when highest scoring player got 9 points that's nothing to shout about!

      I was gonna do Dempsey -> Sess, but watched Sunderland-Spurs and Sess was bad. Also Dempsey is playing up front now because of injuries. Would not make that xfer.

    Lost my first place in the mini league. The guy’s been pushing me hard lately with an 78 and now 72 point round … and with a team of only 104 mil value – and, I have to say, some weird choices when us FPL managers look at it.

    Now I’m more determined to get it back than ever. Only 2 points.

    Do you think it’s best to go pricey on the defense or the offense in the coming weeks? The cheaper strikers are looking tasty at the moment, with lots to play for, while the pricier ones (Van Persie, Rooney) have disappointed even though they’ve had good fixtures.

          Anyone actually looking at his PLAY rather than his points can see he's not playing near par at all. With those fixtures, having to rely on pens for goals is not good - it's luck. It doesn't help that Fergie is starting to play him deeper, either. Jelavic has looked more dangerous, Cisse has looked four times more dangerous, even Bendtner, Odem and Torres have looked more dangerous. The only one playing worse than Rooney at the moment, if possible, is Aguero. Even Van Persie has been more dangerous than Rooney, although that wouldn't show in the FPL system (kind of like BARFA getting an assist he didn't have, suddenly looking even more irresistible).

          No, Henry Hill is right. I look at the games, the play, not what number ends up on FPL. Rooney has been a terrible disappointment.

      What to do with Raylor? (1 FT and 6.9 in bank if I sell him)

      A) Raylor -> Vermaelen.
      B) Start Raylor (FFS predict him starting in midfield but no fans on Toon forums predict a start for him.)
      C) Save transfer and bench him, play Caulker or Ridgewell.

        Real tough one there for you.

        For me, Raylor's chances of starting depend on whether Coloccini returns or not.

        If Colo's back, Perch to CM and no spot for Raylor
        If not, Raylor could well come into CM.

        Though Pardew could bench Santon again....
        I'd start Raylor if I had him.
