A pivotal day of Premier League football sees both Manchester clubs involved, as the race for the title heats up. Justifying the “Super Sunday” billing, the Dugout Discussion opens for the opener at Old Trafford, where United are in a prime position to pile the pressure on City. They themselves visit the Emirates later this afternoon, facing an in form Arsenal.

The team sheets for the Manchester United – Queens Park Rangers game are in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

QPR XI: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Diakite, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt, Buzsaky, Bothroyd.

Two changes for the champions then, with Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replacing Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the side that were victorious at Blackburn.

Somewhat surprisingly, Bobby Zamora is dropped to the substitutes bench for visitors, with Jay Bothroyd replacing him. Meanwhile, Joey Barton isn’t risked, with the midfielder one yellow card away from a two-match suspension.

Follow the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

Was just wanting to clarify, who would come on as auto sub if Richards isnt playing :

playing defence - BAE Evans Richards

Bench in order of - McLean , McAuley , Caulker

Is it McAuley sub which keeps the original 343 formation or does the system sub McLean on?

He has more chance of scoring than Bale if both of them start. Also there is a gulf between the quality of their opponents
