With Sunderland’s upcoming fixtures affording Fantasy managers a viable route into the conundrum that is Gameweek 34 and double Gameweek 36, Stephane Sessegnon looks primed for investment. The top scoring Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player for Martin O’Neill’s side, Sessegnon has a couple of home games against two of the bottom five and, with the Black Cats performances at the Stadium of Light continuing to impress, the Benin international could be set to profit once again.

Many managers’ transfer plans now turn to the difficult weekend ahead and, with eight sides facing blanks, a tactical alternative is to focus on those with strong fixtures over both Gameweek 34 and 36. One of only three sides with favourable home fixtures in each of those Gameweeks – along with Swansea and West Brom – O’Neill’s outfit face an out-of-sorts Wolves on Saturday before playing host to Bolton in a fortnight’s time. Sandwiched in between is a trip to Villa – a clash that won’t deter Sessegnon’s potential suitors.

Despite their recent hammering at Everton, a look at Sunderland’s contrasting home/away form since the sacking of Steve Bruce indicates just how strong a force the Black Cats are in front of their own fans. While they have picked up 11 points from 10 ten games on the road, the Wearsiders have accrued 20 points from nine home fixtures under O’Neill. Six wins, a couple of draws and a single loss are indicative of their reliable home displays, with Arsenal the only side to escape with the three points.

With two goals, three assists and five bonus points over his eight home appearances under O’Neill, Sessegnon has returned a total of 48 points at the Stadium of Light – an average of six points per home game since Bruce’s dismissal. Indeed, in spite of Sunderland’s poor away form, Sessegnon has remained consistent on the road – a couple of goals, three assists and four bonus points is almost identical to his home returns and will instill plenty confidence ahead of the Gameweek 35 trip to Villa Park.

While a trip to Fulham and home clash with United look tricky, Sessegnon’s short-term fixtures promote him highly in the updated Watchlist rankings and, with Nicklas Bendtner a doubt due to a back injury, he may well be afforded the opportunity to lead the line once again, as O’Neill’s side look to bounce back from the Goodison mauling and finish the season on a high.

Do you think everyone in the top 5k actively play FPL or are there still some lucky casual/dead teams out there?

    C) Schwarzer & Cisse -> Mignolet & Aguero (8 point hit) will only lose 0.1 on Cisse.

    Mignolet (Krul)
    Evans, Caulker, Verm (Simpson, Kaboul)
    Valencia, Sigurdsson, Walcott, McClean (Dempsey)
    RvP, Rooney (Adebayor)

Kaboul > Villa defender this week to field XI (even though he'll be up against Man Utd away)

and then McClean > Petrov next week?

If you're wildcarding in 36 then its simple: get in the villa defender this week and get the extra point or two out of him, then play him next week and transfer in your bolton midfielder. Then you wildcard in 36 and change it all up again!

I’m shipping Bale this week, but don’t know which of these 2 options I should go for:

    a.) Sess in for Bale

b.) Walcott in for Bale & Bendy in for Papiss (4 pt hit)

I’m thinking A, but really don’t like the idea of getting Walcott in at a later date with WIG up next!?

    Which are we thinking people

O'Neill had a dire record with Villa in April/May and he's started in the same way at Sunderland. He pushes his players very hard, rarely rotates and it is clear they tire at the end of the season. Saying that, he hasn't been in charge for the full season, but it might be something to bear in mind (I have Larsson and Sessegnon but am concerned)

Buying Hart was a bad move so I'd like to off-load him as it'll free up a lot of cash! It's not an urgent transfer but obviously who I buy will influence what DEF I bring in.

Nice one. I'm still yet to get there. I always get off to a good start, then lose like 4 in a row when I only need 1 point.

    Chaps.

Just working out who to take out for Sess.

I'd be selling Bale at 8.8 or Demps at 9.1. Thinking it's easier to buy back Demps for GW35 than it would be to buy Bale back.

    Make sense?

I had the same dilemma but just pulled the trigger and sold Dempsey. Bale has better fixtures and Dempsey isn't gonna keep scoring big every game.

well Bale is cheaper than Clint, but sells for less.

Work out who it will cost more to buy back and then sell the other

Something similar to what I'm doing. I think it will be worth it to do those transfers

I'm taking out Dempsey for Sess this week for a hit as I am captaining Sess
Then I'm bringing Dempsey back in for Walcott.

Do people think Aguero will be subject to rotation this weekend given that City played Wednesday night and then again on Saturday? Similarly, any idea if Kompany is nailed on?

Nope, Mancini will play his best XI all the way until the end (given that they still can win the title)

is there a way to check players who are near you're ranking? So I am 25,002, is there a way to check my ranking to see how much I would need to get to 20k for example? Or if there is 1 pt separating about 50 players?

Go onto Overall. Go onto the second page. To get to which rank you want divide the rank by 50 and then change the 2 in the URL to the answer e.g. 400 for 20k.

that is why he got 3 BPs

It is based on stats not performance

      1 shot, 1 goal = 3 BPs

Yeah it's a shambles. Goal should never have stood anyway. But that merits a 5th week in a row of 3bps. I think they just make it up as they go along.

Why is everyone so happy to ditch Bale? I mean, yeah, I want to aswell but it actually gives me trouble getting him back in for gwk 36.. I would have to make two transfers to get him back..

I swore I would not go without Dempsey for a dgwk again but Is it madness to consider selling him before it?

because he is out of form. This is a v important part of the season, no time for "name value". You need to be looking for players who actually look and are bringing in the pts.

I sold Clint over Bale GW33

Am buying him back for Theo in GW35 and having both for DGW

For me Clint may only get 4 points in DGW, but his fixtures in GWs 35 and 37 make him a must-have for me for that period.

In 38 he can shipped to Mata or Lampard

Dempsey could do very well against the steaming pile of crap that is Liverpool but I don't see him doing anything against Everton.
I was happy to ditch Bale because he isn't producing enough points in FPL. I'm bringing in another Spurs player though in Adebayor.

Simple question guys. Get McAuley in for GW34 (I currently have 9 players, including likes of RVP, Rooney, Evans, Valencia, Walcott, so basis are covered really)

    OR

Save the transfer, and get in Bogdan for GW35 (&GW 36). My keeper that I would sacrifice is Hilario, already have Vorm.

    Any help appriciated.

    They looked "Stokeish" to me.
