With Sunderland’s upcoming fixtures affording Fantasy managers a viable route into the conundrum that is Gameweek 34 and double Gameweek 36, Stephane Sessegnon looks primed for investment. The top scoring Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player for Martin O’Neill’s side, Sessegnon has a couple of home games against two of the bottom five and, with the Black Cats performances at the Stadium of Light continuing to impress, the Benin international could be set to profit once again.

Many managers’ transfer plans now turn to the difficult weekend ahead and, with eight sides facing blanks, a tactical alternative is to focus on those with strong fixtures over both Gameweek 34 and 36. One of only three sides with favourable home fixtures in each of those Gameweeks – along with Swansea and West Brom – O’Neill’s outfit face an out-of-sorts Wolves on Saturday before playing host to Bolton in a fortnight’s time. Sandwiched in between is a trip to Villa – a clash that won’t deter Sessegnon’s potential suitors.

Despite their recent hammering at Everton, a look at Sunderland’s contrasting home/away form since the sacking of Steve Bruce indicates just how strong a force the Black Cats are in front of their own fans. While they have picked up 11 points from 10 ten games on the road, the Wearsiders have accrued 20 points from nine home fixtures under O’Neill. Six wins, a couple of draws and a single loss are indicative of their reliable home displays, with Arsenal the only side to escape with the three points.

With two goals, three assists and five bonus points over his eight home appearances under O’Neill, Sessegnon has returned a total of 48 points at the Stadium of Light – an average of six points per home game since Bruce’s dismissal. Indeed, in spite of Sunderland’s poor away form, Sessegnon has remained consistent on the road – a couple of goals, three assists and four bonus points is almost identical to his home returns and will instill plenty confidence ahead of the Gameweek 35 trip to Villa Park.

While a trip to Fulham and home clash with United look tricky, Sessegnon’s short-term fixtures promote him highly in the updated Watchlist rankings and, with Nicklas Bendtner a doubt due to a back injury, he may well be afforded the opportunity to lead the line once again, as O’Neill’s side look to bounce back from the Goodison mauling and finish the season on a high.

Depends how many players you are fielding this week. If less than 11 playing Sess this week is only a 2 point hit as if you are guaranteed 2 points back that you wouldn't get with less than 11 players. Likewise Bale playing twice in GW36 is only a 2 point hit.

Team for GW34 after taking -4 point hit.

    G: Vorm

    D: Caulker - Evans - Sagna

    M: Silva - Sess - Valencia - Siggy - Walcott

    F: Rooney - RVP (C)

    B: Schwarzer - Cisse - Cahill - Santon

Plan on making no moves next week then taking another 4 point hit for GW36 in doing:

    Sess → Peinaar
    Walcott → Dempsey
    Silva → Bale

Sound logical? Gives me 11 players this week and 7 DGW players for an 8 point hit in total.

Evening Gents, need help with my GW34 team. I have the below squad with 1ft & 1.8m in the bank.

    Krul, Mignolet
    McAuley, Baines, Caulker, Simpson, Evans
    Valencia, Sigurdsson, Miyaichi, Bale, Dempsey
    Cisse, Van Persie, Rooney

At the moment I have 8 players with fixtures. I plan to use my ft to get Turner for Simpson which gives me 9 playing. What do I do then (will still have 1.8 to spend)?

    A) Bale > Sess (-4)
    B) Dempsey > Sess (-4)
    C) Bale > Walcott (-4)
    D) Dempsey > Walcott (-4)
    E) Another transfer
    F) Sit tight with 9 players.

    A. ade (blank + qpr + BB + bol) + baines (FUL + stk) no hit = 10 in gw34, 8dgw

    B. ade (blank + qpr + BB + bol) + pienaar (FUL + stk) + baines (FUL + stk) - 4 points = 10 in gw34, 9dgw

    C. aguero (nor wol UTD) + sessegnon (BOL) + baines (FUL + stk) - 4 points = 11 in gw 34, 7dgw

Kelly > Turner would give me 9 players (inc. 3 Sunderland players); 6 dgw players already.

Doing Bale > Walcott would give me 10 players (for the hit). Will want Bale back too for the dgw.

Question: Vorm or Bogdan for DGW36....

(I think Vorm will still get more points vs Wolves then Bogdan will in his 2 matches)

      count again

Bogdan guaranteed 4 points with 2 games worth of save points. More likely 6/7 w/o cs

Vorm needs a cs to get 6/7

i say Vorm, Bogdan not guaranteed 4 pts with 2 games, maybe 2 pts in 2 games + save points which might be only 2 pts.

if alot are saying BALE is a MUST HAVE ( see earlier post ), then why are so many people ditching him. Apart from the blank he has good fixtures and his personal form is still good, just been unlucky imo.
Are people getting him back in after the blank?

He may be running around a lot, but this is not converting into FPL points. Therefore only any good in someone elses team.

Could maybe use the extra cash to replace Evans/Caulker with Huth?

I can take a hit to complete the magic 11, but that means getting rid of either

    BAE, Dempsey, Bale or Cisse

and with these players form and upcoming fixtures, I have trouble finding a good enough transfer

    BAE to Ridgewell?
    Dempsey/Bale to Walcott
    Dempsey/Bale to Sessegnon
Cisse to Aguero (have the money to do this)

any of them worth going for?

    1FT, 2.6m in bank.

    Shall I do:

    a) Kelly > Kompany
    b) Bale > Silva
    c) Save transfer

Plan was originally to save transfer but in order not to lose one I'd need to use a transfer next GW to bring a DGW player in and don't know where I could do it without weakening my team for GW 35.
