A double-whammy later and the Paddy Power Cup VI is down to just 32 fantasy managers. Rounds three and four went by in a flash, with 64 fantasy managers taking part in 96 head-to-head fixtures. The most recent 32 of which can be accessed right here.

As you can see, the third and four rounds had some major casualties including yours truly and the gaffer, Mark. We’re also guaranteed a new name on trophy, as none of the former winners are in the mix. Each and every one failed to record the four straight wins required to reach the fifth round.

The truncated Gameweek 34 rears it’s ugly head towards the remaining Paddy Power Cup participants, and I wish them the best of luck as they tackle it. The fifth round results will be available shortly after the Gameweek has concluded.

Lost at the bottom of the previous page. Always effing happens to me. Why always me? Anyway. What’s the general consensus on Mignolet? Do y’all reckon he will be rested for the goalkeeping equivalent of Owen “Guinea Pig” Hargreaves or will he play?

  I'm hoping for a bit of news from O'Neil today. He said a few weeks ago that he wanted to try and give Gordon a chance before the end of the season to see if he wants to give him a new contract.
  
  But don't think there's been anything specific about this week. It's annoying as I wanted to bring Mignolet in this week so I can field 11 but not sure whether to do it or not.

Can see this being a highly frustrating GW. I have 11 playing but i bet i end up with 9 or 10. Meanwhile, all the casuals will keep their DGW players and take advantage.

Finger still lingering over the Cisse ➡ Aguero 4 pts hit button!

Pros:
- can field 11 for gw34
- Aguero is on form
- (Saves me from doing Rooney ➡ Cisse for 36)

Cons:
- Effectively lose a DGW fixture (Cisse's wig+che becomes Aguero's MUN)
- the obvious 4 points gone

I assume others are in same, or similar, situations.

What are your thoughts?

  Another pro is that you're putting that 3M+ value to better use. But I would still reckon Cisse could outscore Aguero over the next 3 fixtures. Cisse is scoring regularly, regardless of opposition - whereas Aguero scored well last week, but against a team already on the beach.

Can someone put my mind at rest here, silly question. I only have 2 defenders this week (Sagna,Evans) and am planning on playing a 2-5-2 formation with a non playing defender in the 3rd defender slot. This is ok right?

  Yes - You will still have 3 defenders in your team, but only 2 of them will score (hopefully...).

I got the same points of my opponent and i scored more goals than him however he won the tie , any one know the rules in this cup when tow opponents got the same points ???
