The Dugout Discussion opens this afternoon, hoping for a similar goal glut witnessed in yesterday’s edition. We’ve two games to pour over, with all four clubs with something to play for. Later we’ll be at White Hart Lane where Tottenham continue to chase Champions League qualification against relegation fighting Blackburn. Before that there’s a West London derby at Stamford Bridge, between Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Terry, Cole, Mata, Essien, Lampard, Sturridge, Torres, Kalou.
QPR: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Mackie, Barton, Derry, Buzsaky, Cisse, Zamora.

As expected, Roberto Di Matteo has tinkered with his line-up ahead of of a huge night in Munich, but somewhat surprisingly there are still starts for the likes of Juan Mata and Frank Lampard.

The visitors name an attacking line-up, with Djibril Cisse partnering Bobby Zamora up front.

  two were undisputable assists, for the other two he was the last chelsea player to touch the ball before the goal was scored, although in both cases a qpr player touched the ball in the box after he had made the pass.
  Going by the rules he should have 4 assists, but you never know 😛

Now it’s time for a punt. We welcome Fernando Torres to the picks, with two home games on the agenda for the Chelsea forward. With Didier Drogba likely to be wrapped in cotton wool for the upcoming couple of finals, Torres looks odds-on to start against QPR and Newcastle next week and, with the Blues desperate for the points in their chase for a fourth place finish, this could well be the time for Torres to step up. Having notched against Barcelona on Tuesday, his confidence will surely be boosted heading into the Gameweek.

I rate Mata and Pienaar ahead of Modric. Really not that big a fan of Modric. Any attacking midfielder that has that much of the ball and can't get his goal tally up is lacking something imo. He offers nothing defensively. He does link the play up well and controls the pace of the game but he is not that special.
