The extended Gameweek ends with two matches under the lights at the Reebok and Stamford Bridge. There’s plenty of interest from Fantasy managers tonight with the likes of Papiss Cisse, Gareth Bale and Rafael Van der Vaart carrying the armband for some. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to capture your commentary as tonight’s action unfolds.

The teams news finds few surprises up at Bolton. Spurs start with an unchanged lineup as they look to put the pressure on Arsenal in third. The struggling Trotter’s lineup is also untouched following their battling 2-2 draw with Sunderland – Chris Eagles and Nigel Reo-Coker overcome knocks to start.

In contrast, down in London, Roberto Di Matteo rotates once again. Branislav Ivanovic’s return from suspension gives him the opportunity to start in defence alongside John Terry. Paulo Ferreira drops out with Jose Bosingwa reverting to right-back. Ryan Bertrand takes up the left-back role as Ashley Cole is rested ahead of the weekend Cup Final. Juan Mata, Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou and Michael Essien are also omitted with Mikel, Raul Meireles, Ramires and Florent Malouda coming in.

As for Newcastle, they bring in James Perch for Danny Simpson who has an ankle knock – Gabriel Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux are included amongst the subs.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

90 points Pre baps, but had Simpson scoring -1 despite a Newcastle CS this week, and Skrtel on 0 because of similar. Either of those could've pushed me over the edge with VDV bonus.
And my phone dying while trying to confirm Tevez to Jelavic on Saturday morning is a bit unfortunate 😛

At least I captained my highest scoring player for once 😉 I'm not complaining, because I've just made up 26 points on my ML leader and should take the lead 😀

Really? Only 60. All the popular players scored big this week... I thought my score was going to be great but the double for all the cisse captain owners will raise the average up to 80+ I would have thought.

Why do Newcastle forwards score so consistently? Last year Carroll was on a great run, this year first Ba, now Cisse. Even though their game model contributes to this, it's still rather strange. There should be ups and downs.

I think it is because the team was centred around Ba...he scored nearly every good chance he got.
The same happened when the team was centred around Cisse.
Pure goal poachers with the occasional spectacular thrown in.
Carroll is just a big target man.

First season playing FPL. 2 questions: 1. Had Simpson in team and Kelly on bench - will Kelly come in? 2. Had Suarez as captain and Cisse as vice - will this remain for tonight or will armband go to Cisse?

      1. No as Simpson played.
      2. No it stats on Suarez for the same reason.

Subs/captain changes only occur if the selected player plays 0minutes

Staying with my original plan. Cisse to Rooney.

Two tricky games for Cisse, in CITEH and Eve, whilst Rooney has SWA and Sun. Yes, i have no doubt that Cisse could and probably will add to his goals tally but Citeh will be at full strength and desperately need the points whilst imagine if Citeh fail to win, the positive effect that will have on Man Utd and maybe, Rooney. Rooney is massive captain potential, Cisse???

remember this is the same Newc that got stuffed at Wigan and won at an under strength Chelsea with a less than familiar defensive outfit.

Without a doubt but in PL terms, with there comparitive teams would you consider a full strength Man City team to be equal to that of an under strength Chelsea team?

            Of course Spike. amazing goals.

Cisse is absolutely class. No doubt. Yes, he could easily repeat it this weekend against Citeh but the major difference is Rooney is capitano material, Cisse is not. Goal difference is imperative for United, Cisse could score for Newc and like tonight, Newcastle will be happy to defend thier lead

Agreed. Wonderful from Cisse tonight, but City game will be completely different situation. Looking.at Rooneys record at home.. poor form or otherwise is pretty impressive. Also chasing goal difference against a promoted team with nothing to play for at Old Trafford.
