As the season draws to a close and Fantasy managers begin to focus on next month’s Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine, we’re not quite done with domestic matters just yet. Ahead of next weekend, then, we’re rolling out another Last Chance Saloon League, while also casting an eye over the Scout League, with our chances of providing a third successive Fantasy Premier League (FPL) champion looking strong:

This morning, we’ve opened up the Last Chance Saloon league ahead of next Sunday’s 11.30 deadline. The rules are simple- the scoring applies to Gameweek 38 only, and the team with the highest tally over next weekend’s ten fixtures takes the crown. We will NOT, however, allow entry to fresh teams, as this goes against the spirit of the competition. Pretty straightforward, really.

There’s no prize on the line here. No gold-plated yacht moored in Monaco or vouchers to spend on assorted sundries – purely pride and bragging rights are the order of the day.

So if you fancy giving Granville something else to moan about before the season is out, or are keen to knock Mark off his lofty perch, sign up using the code below and prepare yourself for battle.

759-591909

While many will be happy to take on the challenge and salvage a season of disappointment, at the top of the Scout League there’s plenty more at stake. Gary McLean looks to be firmly in the driving seat to take the crown – he’s 13 points clear of second-placed Jonathan Pickard and, with Martin Skrtel still to play tomorrow evening, will be hoping for a Liverpool clean sheet against Chelsea to extend his cushion at the summit.

Indeed, a further look at the Overall Standings suggests Gary could well be poised to climb to number one in the world by Tuesday evening. Currently sitting third in the rankings, he is just five points off the top but that Anfield encounter looks crucial to his chances. If Liverpool can keep Chelsea at bay and also find the net, his team would climb ahead of Sam Pater and Garry Bothwell and sit at the top of the leaderboard with a single Gameweek remaining. Nervy times indeed.

We wish Gary all the best in his quest for glory and hope he can follow in the footsteps of Jon Reeson in 2009/10 and Chris McGurn in 2010/11 by delivering the FPL title and Scout League double.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Selling to afford Aguero/Tevez. Young was United's best attacking player, and it was really odd that Nani wasn't brought on at all, very unusual where they needed a goal threat and creative spark.

Only thing is Valencia was poor, and Nani could come in and play on the right, but I see United struggling at Sunderland, they have been on a very poor run of form (Sunderland), so I don't see them lying down in their last home game.

It was a calculated risk, he was my free transfer too, but I didn't lose too much going for it, on 54 with Siggy to come in with 2 and Terry yet to play (with RVP/Dempsey/Adebayor BP's to come), so all in all, didn't bit me at all really, lucky!

Congratulations on your brilliant ranking, Injury_Prone.If you noticed that Elniñorules (above) is ranked 126th, yet is 37 points behind you, then I reckon it would be worth - for just this once - a 4 point hit to give you the flexibility of importing two potentially high scorers for this week. The difference between 15th and 51st (for example) is not worth worrying about - why not go for broke and try for a top ten spot. Mind you, if Chelski keep a clean sheet tomorrow you'll be getting close already!!
Btw, for what it's worth, I'd keep RvP - but what do I know!!??

today's blackburn and tomorrow's chelsea games have massive importance on the gw
usually i like early transfers, by monday at most, but not this week
if chelsea is still in it for the CL and blackburn are definitly down, they will simply massacre them and their lineup will be predicted

How do you think my team is looking for next week, i've got a nervy 6 pt lead in my ML pre baps. Already had to use my FT for Clichy ($) as my defence is in tatters after Sagna's leg break (cant believe he broke it from that). Didn't really want to be doing defensive transfers for gw38 but my hand has been forced, hopefully i can field this team without a hit?

    Vorm (schwarz)
    Walker, Clichy, Taylor (simpson, jevans)
    Valencia, Pienar, Bale, Siggy (sess)

Would you do changes on this team for the final and last gw?

    Bogdan
    Verm Walker Terry Evans
    Valencia Demps Bale
    Cisse RvP Jelavic
    | Howard - Barfa Pienaar Williamson |

Leading my mini league with 49 pts before baps. Want to bring in Aguero, sounds Jelly -> Aguero + Demps -> Ferguson (and then play Barfa or Pienaar) like a good plan?

      Ivanovic - Terry - Bosingwa
