Another piece in the Fantasy Football Scout jigsaw for the new season was restored this evening, with the Set Piece Takers table published and added to the top menu bar.

Andy has rinsed through all the Premier League clubs and added details for all the Penalty, Direct Free Kick and Corner/Indirect Free Kick takers. When it comes to Penalties and Free Kicks, the players are listed according to the current perceived pecking order.

As we get more data from the pre-season matches, we’ll be refreshing the table accordingly. Plus, once the season starts, we’ll be keeping this table up to date to reflect any changes and pecking order shuffles for each team.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Yeah the Swimming is a solid event. And Women's Beach Volleyball is very easy on the eye Tangtastic. Plenty otther stuff that is good to watch but Track and Field just had something extra. Running, jumping and throwing stuff. I get it.

I particularly enjoy your posts, HS. Like poetry. Lot of sense and wisdom in there too. I agree that Pienaar is worth a punt. If he was historically brilliant then he wouldn't be so cheap. This could be his breakthrough year and us hardcores are on red alert.

Interesting choices, but actually not bad.

                Currently on Fed

                Terry, Hangeland, Fabio

                Siggy, Ramires, Michu, Taarabt

                Aguero, Rooney, Petric

                Friedel, Maloney, Santon, Cuellar

This would be Wigan, last years casuals and know-it-alls will go for Newcastle D. People that can read EPL weather patterns will take a punt on at least one defender...(Boyce) from the toughest, most awkward shape from last season's final 10 matches.

Stuart Pearce shows why he isn't cut out for management. Takes off a player doing well, and brings someone on.. who has been poor.

It does pain me to say.

Moving away from Team GB for a sec. Saw the Brazil highlights before. They have no defence but who the feck needs it with that attack, those goals were just glorious

Neymar is very good. I'm surprised Chelsea or City haven't reached into their deep deep pockets yet.

read that earlier. Do you really think they will leave an 18 million(?) keeper on the bench or was what was said a motivator for Lindegaard?

How about Ivanovich as captain? DGW, great chance of two clean sheets, if not then def one, also good goal threat.

Yeah, him, Terry or Cole are great shouts. Would prefer one of the latter 2 as Ivanovic isn't nailed on to play 180 minutes IMO.

So, Lindy may well start the season in net for United, especially if Spain do well at the Olympics and DgG isn't involved in United's pre-season.

There are a lot of people eyeing up DdG, especially considering his generous price and United's fixtures. Any takers for Lindy for 500k less? Would no doubt need to be transferred at the first sign of DdG getting a chance but then DdG was never 100% nailed on in the first place.

Why wouldn't he? The Olympics is adequate pre-season for anyone, a keeper of all people won't be tired from it.

Physical condition isn't the only factor. Understanding with team-mates and confidence (from the manager, other players and in himself) also play a part.

Lindy will have had a full pre-season in goal for United and could well do enough to impress the coaching staff. This, in addition to what happened last season and the goalkeeping coach's comments, clearly makes DdG doubtful to start the season in goal.

What does that last part mean? 'what happened'?

DDG finished excellently. A coach's comments mean nothing. The Olympics, I'll give you, could have an effect ... but people claiming the #1 is up for grabs are looney.

Lindy and DdG were rotated (mostly cup/league) and DdG only managed to hold down the #1 shirt due to Lindy's injury. I never said the #1 jersey is up for grabs (although it could be for all we know), I simply said the DdG is a doubt to start the season. He always was, it's just these comments re-ignite the discussion.
