Last weekend’s headliners get the Gameweek started as Swansea face West Ham at the Liberty in the day’s early kick-off. Following that, we’ve no less than seven other Premier League matches in a bumper Saturday programme. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to soak up your real-time reactions as today’s matches roll on.

The team news from Swansea finds Michael Laudrup not surprisingly keeping faith with the same XI which scored five at Loftus Road. Chico recovers from a knock to start in defence, then. As for West Ham, they give £10 million man Matt Jarvis his debut, while James Tomkins also returns to the starting lineup and could well occupy a midfield role. Ricardo Vaz Te and Matt Taylor have made way.

    As long as Rooney makes a one-point appearance, otherwise everyone simply gets their deputy. Graham or Michu or Tevez or Hazard. No biggie.

    Anyone who thinks Rooney was undroppable needs to have a rethink. It was always on the cards with the RVP signing, he looks so dire in alot of games. About time tbh

        press reporting he's playing hardball over his contract. i'd say last season was our second best player perhaps. however if he's going to continue to demand the big bucks he needs to back it up with performances ... not the garbage we saw monday night
