Last weekend’s headliners get the Gameweek started as Swansea face West Ham at the Liberty in the day’s early kick-off. Following that, we’ve no less than seven other Premier League matches in a bumper Saturday programme. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to soak up your real-time reactions as today’s matches roll on.

The team news from Swansea finds Michael Laudrup not surprisingly keeping faith with the same XI which scored five at Loftus Road. Chico recovers from a knock to start in defence, then. As for West Ham, they give £10 million man Matt Jarvis his debut, while James Tomkins also returns to the starting lineup and could well occupy a midfield role. Ricardo Vaz Te and Matt Taylor have made way.

    A lot of you were laughing when i said Rooney is not the same player anymore and deserved to be benched. This will only help improve him & i'm a Rooney fan.

    I can't believe how come I am and I have Rooney captain. Last year I got down for not having him captain, now possibility for going down for having him captain. What an irony 🙂

    Way too much schadenfraude on here these days. It's really dispiriting.

    Now I'm hoping that he gets half an hour. Sure he will come on for RVP at about the hour mark depending on how the game is going.

      At the end of the day everybody else is your competitor so if Rooney is dropped and you don't have him that's a major boost.
