Later today, we’re treated to Newcastle vs Villa and Southampton vs United at St Mary’s. With Carlos Tevez delivering on his captaincy promised yesterday, all eyes will now be on Robin Van Persie as he takes on the Saints as United’s chief goal threat in the absence of the injured Wayne Rooney.

      Just not enough balls fed into him. United still try to feed it wide everytime so he had no chance of picking it up centrally and turning at the defence. In fairness, Southampton gave him no space so they did well.

      It seems that Friedel is number one in short term at least and a cheapie like Mariappa in your team for a couple of rounds more should not hurt you too much

    I hate all of the schadenfreude that goes around on here. I know you don't want rival players doing well, but people were celebrating RVP's missed penalty more than I celebrated his hat-trick.

    i'd like to proudly say i captain ROBIN VAN PERSIE! But yesterday i read certain quotes like "glad tevez thought some people a lesson" and "tevez was obviously the right choice".. well tevez got 2 assists and his goal was pure fluke! van persie scored 3 goals and could so so easily have been 4 or 5! they end up on the same score and both were good choices but i'm just glad rvp thought a few people lessons aswell

      Keep Ba. Newcastle's goals all season will only come from 3 sources - Ba, Cisse, and Ben Arfa.

      I kept the faith in Cazorla from GW1 and he rewarded me handsomely today.
