For a second week in a row, our Flutter ambitions were denied at the finishing line. Keving Nolan made his anytime goal, but The Hammers failed to keep Steven Fletcher at bay, whilst an on-fire Eden Hazard was seemingly doused by visitors Stoke City, even though The Blues back-line held firm for the cleanie. We’ve still a couple of tenners profit to play with, but as Paddy starts chipping away at our initial success, we need another decent ride or two to keep our noses in front…

Usually last out of the stalls, our new “Goal-Assist-Cleanie treble” is this weeks front-runner. Robin Van Persie’s hunger for goals has not been dampened by his summer transfer and makes up the first leg of our treble. Our second leg, the assist, comes from the rejuvenated Steven Pienaar. A bit-part player for Spurs, Moyes has made him pivotal to his Everton unit and he’s replied with a goal and three assists so far this term; we fancy him against the visiting Saints. A Sunderland clean-sheet makes up our final leg, and with four low scoring, hard-fought draws so far this season, we feel there’s a good chance of Martin O’Neill’s side keeping out visiting Wigan. Paddy are offering 20/1 for the treble on a Van Persie goal, Pienaar assist and Sunderland clean sheet, and we’re going with a “no guts, no glory” approach with this, throwing £5 on it to try and win £100.

While Pienaar has been on fire this term, it’s been Maouane Fellaini who has been simply irresistible. He’s dominated all but one of the five league games the Toffees have played so far, strong-arming players off the ball and terrorising opponents with his height and technique. If that wasn’t enough, he’s made his mark on the scoresheet, netting three in five. We’re hoping he’ll add to that this week by taking £2 on him to score and Everton to keep a cleanie against Southampton at 4/1.

As we’ve mentioned, Steven Fletcher spoiled our double last week by putting one passed Jussi Jasskelainen at the Boleyn. We’re hopefully turning villain into hero this time around as Fletcher is priced up to score and Sunderland to get a cleanie against Wigan at 9/2. He’s scored ALL of Sunderland’s goals this season so far, so this is a bet we really fancy. As we’ve gone for big risk big reward early on in the Flutter, we’ve only £2 to offer, but considering his scoring record we’re favouring this as our banker.

Last up is the tricky playmaker Santi Carzorla. Arsenal were initially a bit slow to get going but they’ve certainly built up momentum in recent weeks. A 6-1 win in the Capital One cup midweek and a similar scoreline against Southampton two gameweeks past has dispelled fears that without Van Persie, the goals would dry up. Carzorla’s managed three assists and a goal in the league and looks poised to maintain that rate. Paddy are dangling 11/1 for a Cazorla goal and a cleanie against league leaders Chelsea and we’ll have our final quid on that.

If Tevez does not start today then what? Stick with him as he has a great game v Sunderland at home next week or get rid and risk him starting that game?

Serious decision to be made here and in all honesty I still don't know the answer.

Switching to aguero is all well and good but if aguero starts today and in the CL surely then he is also a risk of roatation for Sunderland as he actually as internationals after (whilst tevez does not)

When it comes to forward rotation being a dilemma then City are the infernal template, this question will keep cropping up every week until 2 of the 4 Mancini has get injured, therefore the choice has to be accepting that whoever you pick is benched abruptly and or plays less game time than other forward options the game has to offer you.
Im giving Tevez one more week personally and will see how much game time he gets in the champs league this week before deciding to dump him.

I dont think Baines will get a cleanie but prob a gaurenteed assist…maybe a goal. RVP could go off….He loves this kickoff time and he eats tottenham alive….believe me…ive watched them all. I think Fletcher is a great pick for captain though

I'd ditch HBA, as Fletcher's fixtures aren't as good in the near future....also how much you have in the bank? You could take a punt on Silva as a differential...

Look to be decent enough fixtures for attacking returns till early December BDW. I'd rather those two than one of those and a defender.

If you think doubling up on Newcastle and tripling up on Everton with no City coverage, no Chelsea, no Spurs - is a good idea. Then so be it...

So, what's the go here? BDW and Old Glory posting and replying to each other - and both have the very same team name?

Id keep as is apart from sorting out the keeper rotation. Lambert will do as good if not better than fletcher in the next 5. Also your only realistic option for getting baines is to probavly drop Raf to 5m df and switch Ivan. Or downgrade michu or haz...

Can anyone link to Mancini's alleged comments favouring Tevez today?
