After Saturday’s feast of action, we’ve just a paltry single encounter to pour over today. However, it’s a feisty Black Country derby between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. The Dugout Discussion is open, and the team news from Villa Park is in, and is as follows…

Aston Villa XI: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett, El Ahmadi, Delph, Albrighton, Holman, Agbonlahor, Benteke.

West Brom XI: Foster, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Mulumbu, Yacob, Gera, Morrison, Brunt, Long.

Darren Bent is the surprise omission from Paul Lambert’s side, with the England striker relegated to the bench. Albion’s Macedonian defender Goran Popov gets his first league start, and Chris Brunt and Shane Long are back in the side after missing the midweek Capital One Cup tie.

      Hard to say. He doesn't seem to be a fan of Enrique at the moment so he has GJ playing LB but who knows how long that experiment will last.

        He seemed to make it clear Enrique will not play at all and be shipped out in Jan. Wisdom played pretty well so he's definitely one to watch. I've got Sterling and he's starting to produce; wouldn't mind another Liverpool nipper!

      had some good positions to strike at goal this week but shooting was erratic. he's still very attacking and in the right positions to make assists and score goals, i'm thinking of bringing him in actually. gervinho is also tempting me because he's a lot cheaper.

    ok, so i’ve been thinking (already dangerous) man city’s next few games aren’t that bad. when they turn worse, man united’s get much better. would it be a terrible idea to bring in clichy for rafael for now even though he”s a rotational doubt and then get rafael or another defender when fixtures get worse?

      Get Gibbs and forget about rotation doubts from Clichy and the fact that United cant defend. He is by far the best sub 6M defensive option IMO

        Yep, and that he is Chelsea's only forward, top of the league, Norwich are 18th, have the worst goal diff and Nando scoring a goal every 2 games.

    I'm tempted to get Michu in for the next two games but I also see a lot of down-side to doing that move.

    A) if he doesn't score next match his price will plummet
    B) I only want him for 2 matches
    C) I will lose value on other mids, there is no chance Michu will go up further for the time being either.
    D) Swansea look awful lately and it will probably take a while for them to recover form...

    What say you?
