Eden Hazard was a Fantasy force of nature in the opening weeks of the season. The Belgian simply swept through defences with pace and trickery that tempted tackles and earned him a string of early assists. Huge Fantasy investment followed, making him the most sought after player in both the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and Sky Sports games in the opening fortnight.

Since then, however, Hazard has dwindled as a source of points. Three consecutive blanks have offered scant reward for his investors and with the likes of Gareth Bale and Santi Cazorla now tempting acquisitions, Hazard’s owners are contemplating the merits of holding firm for a run of testing fixtures to come.

In this latest members article, we examine Hazard’s statistics over the opening three weeks and run a comparison with his recent form for both goal threat and creativity. Crucially, we also focus on Chelsea as a whole in an attempt to identify why the Belgian has declined and whether this indicates an immediate concern for his frustrated Fantasy owners…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Indeed, that's also a factor - although it's hard to anticipate Lampard's starts.

Looking at the early pattern, could start vs weaker sides where less defensive work is needed.

Oh lost on the last post, apologies.

Hi Guys, just joined up, although been reading on here for quite a while. Thanks for any (indirect) advice I have received in the past! Got 2 FT (0.3 in bank) this week and not quite sure what to do with them…

    Foster
    Baines Jenkinson S.Taylor (Demel Cuellar)
    Cazorla Hazard Pienaar Michu (Guthrie)
    RVP Tevez Lambert

I know the defence isn’t great for this week but after this week it doesn’t look too bad. Front 7 all have decent fixtures this week which leaves Guthrie to Sterling I suppose (benched) rolling over 2 transfers for the internationals. Any other advice? Not sure on captain yet either. Thanks in advance.

Berbs could still be fit, might be worth waiting as his value may have increased since you bought him? fulham have some winnable fixtures coming up and hes a key player.

Toure i also think needs another week, there was an article saying he was more likely to pick up bonus points as he does have good ICT creaivity / threat which can put him in the frame for them . Sunderland isn't an easy game but you'd hope for a clean sheet (+1 point for Yaya if so) if they can keep fletcher at bay.

I'm not likely to play any transfers this week (i also have yaya, kompany and michu all to prove themselves)

    Hey guys,

I have 8.9 to spend on a midfielder after I've decided to replace Fellaini (brought him in last week for an EVE triumvirate - Pieenar, Baines and Fel).

Atm i'm deciding between Gervinho, Mata and BArfa

    Current midfield is:

    Nolan, Michu, Sterling, Pienaar Fellaini

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers

As I see it Stoke and Newcastle have great fixtures from GW9 onwards but I want some city coverage. I also have an inclination towards big hitting captain alternatives.

both will be among the highest scorers in their price range over the season and are much more effective home than away. It's not the most exciting combo but could be effective.

There's no way anyone should sell him before this game. Why would you sell anyone before a home game to Norwich. He should start given he was a sub in the week. I don't think lamps will start which will give Hazard the pen options. Lamps started in the week and RDM needs Ramires because Lamps and Mikel just aren't athletic enough to press. So mikel and Ramires should start. Looking at the matches post GW3 the problem seemed to me to be Oscar taking up positions that Hazard took up in the first 3 weeks. Thats why he started drifting around more and had less shots. The Arsenal game also saw Oscar high up the pitch hassling Arteta so he was already in these advanced central positions.
