The first potential casualty of the international break has emerged, with Man City’s David Silva suffering an injury that forced him after just 13 minutes of Spain’s World Cup qualifier with France tonight.

Reports on the injury are, predictably, sketchy at this time with claims that Silva may have suffered a problem with his knee or hamstring. However, the Daily Mail’s Ian Ladyman has since tweeted that it’s Silva’s ankle that has taken the blow – an area which has haunted Silva: the player previously confessing that he has played with an ankle problem for several seasons.

City are now reporting the injury, suggesting a hamstring problem and stating that the player will be examined on his return to Manchester. At that point we should be clearer on the situation and whether Silva will be a doubt for the trip to West Brom on Saturday.

Roberto Mancini will be hugely concerned given that he has a host of players due to return for assessment prior to the weekend, including Sergio Aguero who will turn out for Argentina in Chile in the early hours of this morning. His worries will also include several of England’s lineup who look set to face Poland tomorrow evening after tonight’s postponement in Warsaw.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Will you also have Jelavic and Suarez? Less than 14 days ago they were essential and must have by yours truly weren't they? 😀

Wow, thats different anyway! Your philosophy one is similar to a paper I'm doing, but from a legal standpoint instead. Seeing that you're from Dublin, I wont say too much more, could be at risk of actually being in the same college as you! Best not to risk mixing FFS and "real life" 😉 ...

It's okay I'm in Maynooth so I live a double life between Dublin and Kildare 😛 funny enough I was actually originally going with a legal viewpoint like looking at J.S Mill, Jeremy Bentham and thinkers like that but I switched to a religious look at it even though I wouldn't consider myself very secular

I hope for Silva and the league that he's not injured, but I was looking at Nasri anyway. Had him GWK1 + 2 and he was excellent value for me. A Silva injury would push me closer toward that, definitely.

    Latest WC team:

    Bego, Jaask

    Baines, Verm, Hughes, Wilson, Gorkss

    Bale, Santi, HBA, Walters, Maloney

    Ba, Berbs, Suarez

Next transfer would be Suarez out for Aguero for his 3 home games out of the next 4.

The only reason I suggest Crouch, is, he clearly has some form, and, after this week his fixtures get better. Form + Fixtures

I currently have Ramirez, but am likely to get Lallana in until Ramirez returns. RvP, Jelavic and Berba is my 3 up top, great trio

I'm benching Kebe this week. Away at Liverpool. Morrison's fixtures are not great the next 2 weeks, that's why I'm looking at Nolan. Only issue for me next week is might be who to bench since I'm looking at getting Lallana in.

Kebe (FUL) Lallana (TOT) Nolan (wig) Bale (sot) Cazorla (QPR)

RvP (che) Berba (rdg) Jelavic (LIV)

hmm I see your point, but the idea of not having Nolan the next 2 weeks scares me. But I may go Morrison over Lallana next week to allow me to play Kebe.
