Aleks Kolarov is a legend around these parts. Two seasons ago I backed the Serbian to shine, only to be left eggy faced as he City man huffed and puffed without impact. Now he’s back and this time it’s personal.

Having crashed the party with a 20-point haul in his last Etihad encounter, Kolarov is being lined up for a start this weekend and even Granville’s taking notice. Having ridiculed my affections for the player and gloried in his failings, the Mancunian has got himself a crush and he’s struggling to fight it off.

This week’s ScoutCast features a lot of Kolarlove, along with the supporting cast of regulars as Granville steals a mini-league march and starts to sound cocky.

Listen in on the Serbian swooning via this link, or stream the episode via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Had Cazorla penciled in to captain this week, but given Arsenal's form, I'm now not so sure. Back up plan is a safe RVP or the more maverick plan of Kone (west ham - home). Any love for Wigan this weekend out there?

True but if Fed doesn't play I'll have Foster as a back up - just deciding who to start with. I guess the question is which team is most likely to keep a cleanie ( or concede the least!)

I'm thinking out loud as a McCarthy owner! I also own Foster, but I'm starting with McCarthy. Generally safer to back the home team especially with a reasonable fixture.

1.7m in the bank, any moves would be for a hit - transfer oreave this bunch?

    Begovic

Baines - Hughes - Jenkinson (Rafael, Demel)

Santi - Gervinho - Michu - Sterling (Fellaini)

    Tevez (c) - RVP - Jelavic

Players that will need shifting in the next few weeks - Gervinho, Fellaini, Jenkinson, Michu.

    (B) Fellaini/Gervinho to Lennon

I will want Wilson long term so it makes sense to get him now. If was on wc for next GW I would get Kolarov. I realise Lennon is unlikely to score as well as Bale, but Bale is out of reach for me, so Lennon will have to do, he is in great from and could still score well.

Arsenal have been doing this for a number of seasons now and show little hope of winning the Champions League. I think they should put a domestic cup as a priority this season.

in the terms of long term success, a top4 finish (more specifically UCL participation) is almost infinitely more important than lifting any of the two cups imo. and even for a random fan, I would guess the majority of them would give up the FA Cup to participate in Champions League. at least I would.

Domestic cups seem to be becoming something of a joke with the second rate line-ups fielded. Teams still field CL sides like the games matter, because they do.

I used to think of especially the league cup this way - but now, functioning basically as a reserver/u21 cup, it's not half bad imo

    Front eight is

    Bale Santi HBA Sterling Michu
    Berbatov Suarez RVP

    Have one FT this week.

    a. Suarez to Ba (leaving funds for HBA to Mata next week)
    b. Suarez to Jelavic
    c. Suarez to Tevez
    d. Keep Suarez and save the transfer

an honest question. i dont have a good answer. sometimes looks like the competition in the EPL is just as high as the final stages of UCL.

a selection of top10 EPL: United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton, Fulham, Sunderland

top10 UEFA team coefficient teams (w/o English sides): Barca, Bayern München, Real Madrid, Inter, Atletico Madrid, Porto, Lyon, AC Milan, Valencia, Benfica

What to do with Demel? I really want to remove Hazard and Fletcher (for Bale and undecided striker) to set up money for Mata and Wilson in coming weeks.

I can play Baines, Rafa, Nelsen/Davies without Demel.

Stick to plan to remove Hazard and Fletcher and or move the Wilson transfer early? I have Begovic and happy to double up.

There are plenty of other options who have the potential to score just as well if not better.
