Premier League Fixtures Announced

The Premier League fixture list is now published and available for our perusal. We’ll be working on our fixture tickers throughout the day, with the aim to get these to you as soon as possible to offer a means of analysis of the opening six Gameweeks and, if you’re a member, the entire season.

Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea boss opens with a home game against Hull before the Blues make their way to Old Trafford in David Moyes’ first home match in charge of Man United. Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge clash with Aston Villa, scheduled for Gameweek 3, has been postponed due to European Super Cup duties – if this is moved to Gameweek 1, major investment will be on the cards from Fantasy managers.

Moyes opens his tenure with a trip to Swansea and also squares up to Liverpool at Anfield in the first month – a tricky start for the defending champions, who also entertain neighbours City in Gameweek 5. City’s opening three matches look enticing, though. Manuel Pellegrini welcomes Newcastle to the Etihad in his first game in charge before City face back-to-back matches with a couple of promoted sides – a trip to Cardiff precedes a home showdown with Hull.

Roberto Martinez’s first three games in charge at Everton suggest the Toffees could be quick out the blocks. Trips to Norwich and Cardiff, with a home match against West Brom, will afford plenty optimism from the blue half of Merseyside, while Liverpool have also been handed a decent start, aside from the home game with United.

The likes of Southampton, Spurs and West Ham all look strong investment options over the opening six Gameweeks, though Villa and Swansea have been dealt a blow. Paul Lambert’s side face Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City in the first six, while Michael Laudrup’s men go head-to-head with United, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal.

We plan to focus on the schedule in further detail over the next few days, with a “Frisking the Fixtures” piece rolled out soon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Michu came from the skies above.

Obviously there is unknown talent eveywhere but Michu cost £2m and signed for Swansea. Aspas is £7.5m and joining Liverpool plus he seems to be getting a bit more attention.

Probably more affordable than my effort, but you have included players who aren't even in the PL yet. and you don't if Mirallas will be classed as a mid and at what price. I learnt that lesson just now. I'm waiting till the player list is published at least now

I'm ignoring him. Not down to fixtures though, I just think last year was a freak in the sense that there were very few strikers that performed. I think Aguero, and Higuain if Arsenal sign him will comfortably be of equal value for their price.

Also I think Utd will have a poor season in general.

It's more a question of how do you fit 3 x CHE in your team as well as RVP and Bale, given that Chelsea are likely to have HUL/AVL in GW1

I've made the decision to go without for the first while regardless of fixtures and spend money on players I think will match him this year.
Hoping to start with Hazard, Bale. Aguero + Higuain.
Pity that it will tarnish my enjoyment of him as a player to an extent for the first part of the season though.

      He started at 5.0
He's nailed-on, on pens. Obviously, he won't drop in price.

When you sort by difficulty (first 6 weeks), the most difficult 6 fixtures are Cardiff, Man United, Stoke, Aston Villa, Swansea.

However, when you click it again to reverse the order, it's Aston Villa, Swansea, Stoke, Cardiff, Man United.

Is this a glitch? Or could possibly be that they are the exact same difficulty rating, and sorted in alphabetical order? Thought I would point it out just in case.

Hello chaps... back from hols to new Crowd and a some fixtures! keen to get the player lists going soon and July 19ish can't come quick enough.

Nice post Demi but first-6 of pretty much no interest to me. Wildcard trigger to again be pulled after GW1 or 2, so first 2 it is :lol

Any 2-team Goalkeeper rotations already floating about?! 🙂

hanging on to mine didn't do that much good last year

IMO there's no right or wrong time to use a wc per se. if you are struggling and need a massive overhaul, you need a huge hit just to get 11 out, or there is a big DGW seem like the best reasons. Using it to build tv isn't all that IMO.

    You have to love FFS.

Fixtures have been out only a few hours and already we have the excellent spreadsheet complied by TW, Berbacat and Yess the Sess (that 4 team rotation one is huge given the budget constraints on our defences) and Tommy's great site. So much stuff to hand, fantastic work by all, that why the FFS leagues do so well.

I've done a little modification of the 4-way rotation, check it when TW and Berba update their spreadsheet 🙂

Robbie Brady (HUL) played most of the season in the left wing back role but is known more as an attacking winger (4 goals + 13 assists). He could be listed as a defender because of Hull's 3-5-2 formation last season and though giving us an enticing OOP prospect. However, he doesn't offer security of starts since only started 25/45. but if he's priced 5 or less and listed as a defender would you fancy him?? BTW Hull rotate well with Norwich, West Ham and West Brom.
