With just a single assist to show for his endeavours over the first three Gameweeks, Fantasy faith in Michu took a dent ahead of last Monday’s home clash with Liverpool. The Swansea midfielder shed almost 66,000 owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game and suffered a drop in price due to his lack of attacking returns but after opening his account against the Reds, he’s back on many a radar as Michael Laudrup’s side prepare for a kind upcoming run of fixtures.

Will any of the 4.0m keepers drop in price or is that the minimum?
Open Controls-
will drop if enough people sell
Open Controls-
If you can only bring on two of the following...
A. Michu
B. Ben Arfa
C. Moses
I'm liking A and C because MIchu has a good run of home games and I want some Liverpool coverage now that Coutinho is out. But, Ben Arfa is in amazing form and that's hard to dismiss.Open Controls

I doubt it as not many people will waste a transfer to swap their bench fodder keeper.
Open Controls

I have 3 mil left in the bank , so how do these transfers look.
this week FT - IN Mignolet OUT Boruc
next week FT - IN Vidic OUT ClyneOpen Controls-
Why do you have Soton players on your hitlist? they doin gr8 and got good fixtures
Open Controls-
just think boruc has done well but its time for an upgrade , and clyne is in and out too much.
Open Controls
-
-
They both have good fixtures but overall Mignolet gets more bonus and more saves, worth the extra $. vidic vs clyne is a toss up, but I don't see Man U keeping goals out too often. That money is better used elsewhere.

Opinions would be massively welcomed guys
Would u WC this team to the one below for GW 6
Boruc/Marshall
Turner -- Turner-- Kos -- Coleman -- Chester
Eriksen -- Nolan -- Wally -- Brady -- Ravel
Sturridge -- RvP -- Soldado
to 4-3-3 /5-2-3
Migs/Given
Fonte -- Vert -- Coleman -- Shawcross -- Vidic
Eriksen -- Wally -- Brady -- Moses -- Ravel
Sturridge -- Rooney -- Benteke
Madness?Open Controls -
Hopefully Brady recovers for this weekend...otherwise I have to play both B. Turner (TOT) and Chester (new).

good question!
I'd wait for the news conference. I think I'm already sold on the Silva > Michu switch thoughOpen Controls

Why has darren bents red flag not been removed

Is Whittingham best option at 5m or less MF?
Does Odemwingie's arrival affects his game time?Open Controls -
Well I think we're sure Moses will at least start this week. Though will he be a regular starter? What does everyone think?
Open Controls -
concider playing WC for next GW to have this team
Mignolet
zabaleta mertesacker walker
barkley Ozil hba erkisen
lukaku suarez rooney
what do you thinkOpen Controls -
Hernández -> Moses for free?
Do it today or wait until tomorrow night?
Also have Brady injured with £0.2m ITB.Open Controls -
One of those mysteries of received fantasy football wisdom.
When a side qualifies for the Europa League, they won't be able to cope with the rotation and will suffer a disastrous second season.
When a side qualifies for the Champions League, business as usual.
For both, the gap between the European game and the league game is almost the same. Prem games after a Europa League game are rescheduled to Sunday or Monday.Open Controls-
but teams in europa are generally poorer with less depth. bar spurs this season.
Open Controls-
Somewhat, but they also take it less seriously than CL and are prone to playing youth members who wouldn't get a chance in the league. Liverpool last season seemed to think it was the under-21s Champions League or something.
Spurs got burnt because they took it seriously 😆Open Controls-
It will be interesting when CL qualification is the prize again, to see teams pushing for it in earnest
Open Controls-
Wow, has that been confirmed? Winner qualifies for CL? I loved that idea, which is why I thought UEFA would never do it.
Open Controls-
I'm not sure that it has, although I've seen some talking like it has been.
The competition will die out if they don't do somethingOpen Controls-

Entry into CL qualifying round for winners. Wow that really emphasizes which competition is boss 🙂

I actually quite enjoy Europa but I could imagine it becoming a different beast entirely if they did that. It's already a very strong competition that is very difficult to win, imo. Chelsea's squad size probably won it for them last year and even then it was at breaking point.

yeh i still remember AVB when they got put out ''we showed the world how to play this tournament''

As a Gooner I am forever indebted to AVB for gifting us 4th spot. I was watching in disbelief as he fielded first teams in the Europa League while we were chasing.

CL sides have squads with more depth in quality though so rotation is a more valid option
Open Controls -
You have a point I was about to make the bigger squad argument but Giroud is going to be playing in both for Arsenal but no one is making the argument he will lose form because of fixture rotation. It depends on the size and strength of the squad and the competition for places eg Van Persie and Rooney might get rests because of Welbeck and Hernandez.
Open Controls-
* fixture congestion
Open Controls -
I think Arsenal are a perfect example of a squad which is way too thin to manage CL rotation. To be honest that is Wenger's fault alone.
Open Controls-
Agreed they could probably play Walcott or Pod upfront if Giroud got injured but that would be far from ideal. Utd have never lacked strength in depth under Ferguson even if some of the players have not really been up to scratch.
Open Controls-
Yeah someone tell Wenger the points aren't divided by your number of squad members.
It's absolutely criminal he didn't sign one striker. He was told all summer. We were even saying it after the Ozil transfer. Oh well Yaya Sanogo should take us to the CL final.Open Controls
-
-
havent arsenal got like 9 players out injured atm? i think most squads would look thin with that many injuries. their main problem is up top, everywhere else looks covered
Open Controls-
I've seen this too many times. Arsenal always have a ridiculous number of injuries, every season. Whether it's the medical team, or the training, I don't know. Some player we sold to City, maybe Clichy, said when he arrived at training he was surprised by how tough it was. 😆
Injuries are something to plan for and the buck stops with the manager. United have had many injury crises in the last few seasons and because SAF assembled a very deep squad, they delivered the goods. Wenger hasn't.
We have one serious striker, only one natural backup CB who we don't trust and I think RB could be a problem with Sagna on his last legs and Jenks raw.Open Controls-
Those shortcomings were true before the injuries - we've actually got lucky that the injuries have happened to the deepest part of our squad, attacking midfield.
Open Controls -
sagna & jenk are fine, sagna's actually looking good again. verm is fair enough but he's still not a bad player & it's not like arsenal are the only team light in that area, didnt fergie resort to playing carrick at Cb last season & ended up losing to newcastle & blackburn is succession? thats not coping. city have just been playing garcia at CB aswell due to lack of cover & theyve been struggling. theyre also very light in CM (like chelsea) so a couple of injuries to say yaya toure/fernandinho or ramirez & mikel & there's not much there. every squad has one or two areas where they dont have enough top quality back up in every position

Newcastle were massively affected by Europa League last season.

Agree. This is the reason for HBA + And Michu - imo

Keep Kolo Toure or get rid for a newcastle defender?

Hehe I just noticed the "Common abbreviations" section at the bottom of the FFS FAQ. Odd selection and I think it needs updating :). The Reo coker chat chat has died down in recent weeks.
BAE – Benoit Assou-Ekotto
Bily – Dinyar Bilyaletdinov
Cashley – Ashley Cole
CTC - An abbreviation of Crack The Code. See FAQ “How does the Crack The Code or CTC site work?”
MGP – Morten Gamst Pederson

Brady has a knock in most cases this means a minor injury and he will play.
Open Controls -
Deep thought: It's funny as we agonize every gw over who to captain, usually between 2-3 players, and MOST weeks those 2-3 players end up with a very similar score. Occasionally one bursts forth, but I can't tell you how many times I've spent days with that decision only to have all my choices score the same (2 pts LOL). I should start keeping track over my actual captain vs. my other choices and see at the end of the season how many points off they really are....
Open Controls -
Which combo is better:
A. Michu and Moses
B. Eriksen and Ben Arfa.
ThanksOpen Controls -
Brady OR Whittinagham in the long run?
Open Controls-
Whit is the freekick and pen taker
Open Controls -
Barkley over these without a doubt.
Open Controls-
He's 5.1m
Open Controls-
And that too!
But Brady is also set-piece taker (now that Koren is out) and Penalty taker?Open Controls-
They need to win penalties first. I doubt they will get any more than 3 all season. Promoted teams always complain about the lack of penalties being awarded to them.

I didn't realise he had gone up again. Bad times. I still don't like either brady or whit but i would go with the latter if i had to choose.

Im sure this has already been discussed somewhere - but is there a podcast this week?

I read somewhere on here that barkley likely to rise before deadline. is it true?

I'm thinking about dropping Coutinho for:
A: Moses (stay with Liverpool and free up some cash)
B: Michu (even swap price-wise. Is he rounding into form?)
C: Mirallas (frees up some cash and he may play up, but he hasn't done much yet)
All votes are welcome...Open Controls -
Any thoughts on my WC team?
I've flirted with Rooney & Moses in for Studge & Michu but think they're a better long term contribution
Any glaring errors?
Boruc, Lewis
Zab, Walker, Coleman, Fonte, Turner
Wally, Michu, Eriksen, HBA, JWP
Studge, Tekkers, GiroudOpen Controls-
Do you think JWP will win back his place?
Open Controls -
Very nice, wouldn't pick JWP though
Open Controls -
JWP could be a liability 1point scorer with little cameos here and there
Open Controls-
I'm thinking that he'll be very under-used but does a job for the squad at the price - if I do need to bring someone off the bench I'm thinking i can change from 343, go 442 and bring in Fonte or Murner?
Open Controls

Selling michu is a blunder
Open Controls -
Looks pretty solid. I'd hate to drop Studge at this point. See how Suarez' return affects his output.
Open Controls -
needs a liverpool defender imo
Open Controls -
Don't like the keepers.. everything ese is good though. JWP maybe a slight risk
Open Controls -
Are you a relative of Demi?
Open Controls-
No, just a 'junior' contributor who didn't realise he'd picked a very similar AVI! Might have to change it!

Chester, JWP, Shaw
A) Save FT
B) Hazard ➡ Michu
C) Other transfer?Open Controls-
save
Open Controls -
Get Brady out as quick as possible. Waste of a spot IMO.
Open Controls-
disagree - still best value for 5m & just a knock so he'll be back
Open Controls-
He isn't best value at all. There are players cheaper who will score as many points. Hull will get relegated and will score very few goals. The penalty taker argument would be a good one but Hull wont get many. Newly promoted teams never do.
