Wilfried Bony limps out of Swansea’s match against Valencia with a hamstring problem. Kieran Gibbs is back for Arsenal’s trip to Cardiff, Robert Huth and Marko Arnautovic will miss Stoke’s visit to Everton, Antonio Luna returns for Villa, whilst Mike Williamson is set to start for Newcastle’s home game with West Brom tomorrow evening. Here’s a quick round-up from yesterday’s press conferences:

Kieran Gibbs has recovered from the illness that forced him out of Arsenal’s midweek Champions League win over Marseille. Arsene Wenger was a little cryptic during yesterday’s press conference, however. The Gunners boss conceded that, while he has no injuries, he has “little concerns” ahead of the trip to Cardiff.

Antonio Luna is back in the Villa squad to face Sunderland tomorrow, Paul Lambert has confirmed. The Spaniard has missed the last three Gameweeks with a thigh problem and his return looks set to see Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker battle it out for a place alongside Ron Vlaar at centre-half. Lambert also revealed Gabby Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann “seem ok” after returning to action from the bench in Monday’s derby at West Brom.

Leighton Baines joins Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson on the sidelines for Everton’s home clash with Stoke. Aside from those three, Roberto Martinez expects everyone to be fit, despite a sickness bug affecting players’ ability to train this week. Martinez also revealed he has yet to decide on who will replace Baines and has been assessing his options in training, though conceded he is unlikely to rush Antolin Alcaraz back into the fold – the Paraguayan was handed a 45-minute run-out for the reserves earlier in the weeks after months out with a hamstring injury.

Gus Poyet has a number of issues at the back for Sunderland’s trip to Villa. Kieran Westwood remains a doubt, whilst there are also question marks over Andrea Dossena and Modibo Diakite – Carlos Cuellar is definitely out, though, having picked up a hip injury.

Marko Arnautovic and Robert Huth are both out of Stoke’s trip to Goodison. The Austrian is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury, whilst Huth requires monitoring after picking up a knee problem. Stephen Ireland is back in the squad, though, after missing last week’s win over Sunderland.

Alan Pardew has confirmed Mike Williamson is a definite starter for Newcastle’s home game with West Brom on Saturday evening. With Mathieu Debuchy set to retunr at right-back after a one-game suspension, Williamson (priced at 4.4 in the Fantasy Premier League) looks likely to be named in the XI for the seventh successive game – Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is set to drop to the bench, with Fabricio Coloccini partnering Williamson in the middle.

Swansea are sweating on the fitness of Wilfried Bony and Angel Rangel after both were forced off during last night’s Europa League loss to Valencia. Bony was withdrawn during the first half with a hamstring injury and, after the game, Michael Laudrup conceded his summer signing is set for scans, amid fears he could be sidelined for “several weeks”, whilst Rangel was forced off just before the final whistle with a calf complaint. Pablo Hernandez returned to action from a thigh injury, though, and will be available for Sunday’s trip to City.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter stream for breaking news as Friday’s press conferences unfold.

    Whats going on People?

    VALUE OF A POINT

I just had a thought, how much is a 4pt hit really worth?

If we look at the guy in 1st place, he has 854 points, and we look at the guy in 1,500,000th, he has 576 points. The difference between 1st and 1,500,000th is currently 278 points.....

If 278 points accounts for 1,500,000 places difference then 1 point roughly accounts for 5,395 places.

A 4-point hit is approximately a 21,582 place hit!! SO be careful with those hits!

This also highlights the importance of correct captaincy (if ever we needed more proof)....

If you had BOUGHT and captained SUAREZ over AGUERO last week, (ie 18 v 30) you would have lost out on 12 points which is 64,740 places!!!

I have had the armband on Benteke all week. Every time I change my captain last minute my initial captain always delivers, this seems to be a golden rule. However I read the following 4 stats last night and I am now very tempted to move to Suarez as my skip.

Hull are yet to score more than one goal in any of their home games this season.
There have been over 2.5 goals in all but 3 of Liverpools last away league games.
Hull have shipped three or more goals to Liverpool in 7 of their last 10 clashes.
Liverpool have scored at leasts twicein 6 of their last 7 league games.

Do I stick with my desperate punt on Benteke captain:
Only team in ML to have him
Due a big week (getting sick of saying that)
Aggy and Weimann back to provide support he loves
    Sunderland at home

Or go with the man above:
    See above....

I'm toying with bringing in Olsson but I think it's too short-termist hunting for one clean sheet v Palace.

If you do make a sub I'd keep Clyne over Chico medium term as Soton are still difficult to break down and have a nice fixture next week.

I think that's right - Clyne will likely end up with 1pt but I think Norwich might be too short-term point hunting. One Palace goal from deflection from a corner and it was basically a pointless exercise!

If you do sub what about a Newcastle defender - a good fixture and better medium term prospect than Norwich.

+ Fulham have been poor thus far

    So I'm on

    Mignolet

    Coleman Vidic Zabaleta

    Ramsey Hazard Barkley Ravel

    Rooney Aguero Suarez

    Sessegnon, Shaw, Chico

Any views on the sub choice and also on the transfers. I've two FT and 0.7 itb.

The most obvious choice is Vidic ---> Arsenal defender and carry the other FT (not least because Chico, Rooney, Ravel and Barkley are all on 4 yellows.

Hard call - Sess is away to harder opponents but much higher chance of 90 mins.

Going to be a last minute choice but I imagine whoever I bench will have a stormer (20 odd points on the bench the other week).

i almost did baines > Baker and then Townsend > Yaya

But opted with benteke > Aguero instead.

I thinking the same: I can do Townsend to Yaya leaving Remy ( with Suarez and Aguero) or Townsend to Navas with Remy to Giroud for a hit??

any thoughts? ( I really want Yaya..!!)

    any ideas what to do?

1FT 0.7 ITB, might save the transfer?

    Boruc Davies
    Chester Terry G.Johnson Chico Mbwia
    Ozil Hazard Nasri Januzaj Pozuelo
    Lukaku Suarez Aguero

got a lot of 50/50 with Mbwia Januzaj Pozuelo etc..

Sounds like Mbwia is out which is going to leave you with a likely -1 score for Chico!

Choice between getting rid of Mbwia: lack of security etc or Chico: terrible fixture but then a good run but 4 yellows.

Depends who you want to bring in I guess. Olsson is the very short-term option.

Who would you play out of Brady and Townsend?

It wouldn't surprise me if Hull scored to be honest, Townsend and Spurs look useless..
