Yes, we know this week’s battle for the armband is done and dusted. With 86% of the votes cast, Luis Suarez is the undisputable favourite as Liverpool prepare for the visit of Cardiff on Saturday. The Uruguayan is hunting his fifth successive double-figure haul at Anfield and it’ll be a brave, or perhaps desperate, Fantasy manager who goes against the grain. Once again, our midweek regular for members sifts through the statistics to ascertain whether there really is anyone else worth considering:

With Zaba injured is there any possibility Kolarov will get run in the team ?
Open Controls-
Kolarov is a left back so it's unlikely his situation will chance much

I AM FURIOUS!!! I hate fantasy footballl :@:@:@:@:@:
why do all my players get injured?!?!?! Me and my rival have almost the exact team apart from 4 or 5 people, 4 of those people are Moxey, Rooney, Zab, Auguero - what are the chances of that?!?!
asdkasjhdka !!!!! *FUMING!!!*
@Modifaya
I can't wait until I wake up tomorrow morning and see who else got injured overnight in my teamOpen Controls -
Total FPL had Mirallas at 100% and he didn't rise 🙁
Open Controls-
dont worry, hell rise tomorrow then...must have been just on the threshold at the time of the update 🙁

good sign is he carried on, so it probably isn't a tear, and at worst he'd be a small doubt

Got Zabaleta in place of Fonte with -8, now he's injured 🙁
Zabaleta to Chester for another -4 😀 ?Open Controls -
Is Rooney actually injured then?

I am from Asia and probably my command of English is poor. So can someone please enlighten what does "we hope so, yes" mean ?

I imagine one of Demichelis or Lescott will fill that slot temporarily.

Either of Kolarov,Clichy or Milner will

Just wondering how different is your current team compared your first ever pre-season draft earlier this season (or at least maybe after we 'knew' that Bale isn't gonna be in anymore),
My current team is
Howard
Coleman Walker Ivan Gabbidon Fonte
Hazard Walcott Ramsey Redmond Ravel
Aguero Lukaku Suarez
And I remember my first ever draft was pretty much
Boruc
COLEMAN Dawson Toure (Collins Brayford)
HAZARD WALCOTT Coutinho Mirallas (Barkley)
AGUERO Sturridge JRod
So only 4 out of the lot which are the same, not counting Aguero out this week, and maybe Dawson and Sturridge which is 'similar' to Walker and Suarez.
And assuming I went 3-4-3 by that team with Aguero (c) and Sturridge (vc) I would have gotten
58
90 54 27
96 38 32 65
117*2 77+14* 65
(*Sturridge C on GW 6 where Aguero is out.)
A total of 850 - not inclusive of bench (Walcott, Coutinho, Sturridge and Toure had long injuries) and no Suarez which I must've done as I did in real life as soon as Sturridge was injured.
Adding replacements and Suarez (c) GW 12 onwards would've been easily reach at least 150 points swing.
SO, In comparison:
My current team is at 900 points (bad I know)
And this Dead Team is at 1,000 after the adjustments. (ranked around 60k)
Looking at this, I wonder if sometimes we (or maybe just me) try to be too smart and tinker with the team with all the guesses and assumptions whereas the best thing would just wait for the results to come and do minimum changes.
Feel free to compare your team here if you'd like.Open Controls-
Did u account for a captain?

Is Chamakh a viable cheap option up front? I need a striker for my draft league team and he's the only available decent option I have you can think of as all others are taken. I currently have Hooper, Crouch and Bony.
Open Controls-
For a draft league, definitely

Knowing Moyes, will we even know any further news on Rooney's injury by the weekend?
If we actually get news that he's 100% out, is it worth a hit to ship him out for another striker?Open Controls-
I doubt we will get any news.
If he indeed is injured, and misses some games over Xmas it's going to be a real pain in the ass.
Exciting though.Open Controls -
Ravel on my bench if Rooney don't play. Not taking hit for my stupidness 😀

DZ, Should I do -
a) Lampard -> Mirallas (-4)
b) Ivan -> Evans/Ward (-4) and play 4-4-2
c) None
If I do b) this gw, I can get Walcott next gw
Gazza
Brown Olsson Coleman
Oscar Ramsey Lampard *..........*
Rooney Suarez(c) Negredo
Subs:Marshall - Ravel/Shelvey, Ivan, Tomkins
Dilemma:Play Ravel(mun) or Shelvey(EVE)?
ThanksOpen Controls -
Howard McGregor
Gabbidon terry distin shaw baker
Hazard Silva yaya Ramsey kasami
Negredo Suarez lukaku
Wat do u reckon to this team?Open Controls -
Just over 2 days to go..........
Open Controls -
keep Rooney and play Gabby (NEWC) or Rooney>Negredo ?
Open Controls -
Cech
Coleman Walker Evra
Hazard Silva Arnautovic Brady/Whittingham
Suarez Rooney Lukaku
Lewis Brady/Whitts Mertesacker Chester
1FT 0,6m ITB
looking at Cech ➡ Marshall/Speroni to free up funds to do Brady/Arnie ➡ Mirallas next week
is this team good enough to save the FT?(not much i can do with 0,6m)
is Brady/Arnie ➡ Mirallas worth a hit?(Mirallas has Swansea away)Open Controls -
What do you consider a good rank and what rank would you be happy with(overall) at the end of the season?
I say top 100k and top 10kOpen Controls-
w/e rank that wins my $ML(last seasons winner was 18th overall 😯 )
Open Controls-
Good luck with that.....
Open Controls

Top 30k bare minimum for someone who spends quite a bit of time thinking about it
Top 20k good
Top 10k very good
Top 5k excellent
Top 1k is the stuff of dreamsOpen Controls-
But as long as I top my mini league, I'm happy.
Open Controls

Top 5k good rank.
I would be happy with anything inside top 1kOpen Controls-
Nobody asked you, anything less than top 10 is good enough for you 😛

Did Rafael look worth The extra 0.8 over Evans yesterday?
Open Controls-
Ouch, might go Evra or Rafael instead, then...
Open Controls-
Surely Evans would have come off if he was hurt though right?
Open Controls
-
-
How on earth can you judge that from one game? 😆
He would have to offer a significant attacking threat (think Baines vs. someone with no attacking threat) and more security of starts to be better value than Evans IMOOpen Controls

Here is how everyone who shipped Rooney in feels right now

I think Liverpool will get a cs this week. Terry/Clyne out Flannagan in. Depends on Clyne outlook. If he plays then I will sell Terry.
Open Controls-
yep good chance for that but next 2 are City and Chelsea both away
Open Controls-
I can cover him for those 2 games. Defence will be Jags, Terry, Mert, Flannagan, Burner. I will be struggling for points this week with Terry, Mert, Hazard, Ozil & Ramsey all in the same game. Will play Jag, Mert & Flannagan with Terry & Burner on the bench. Was going to sell Terry & buy Coleman but already have Jags & didn't want 2 Everton v Swansea.

Jonny Evans is fine. I'm sure. Nice article here too...:)

There it goes my rooney c differential
Had ambard on him all week but after this news i am changing
Who is the question?boring suarez c prehaps?Open Controls-

YeAH, 97% will c suarez
Open Controls

If you want a differential keep it on Rooney(c). He either plays 90 or 0.
Suarez(vc)Open Controls -
I dreamt last night that Chamakh scored a brace
Open Controls -

ha ha, Kosc (c) tease could be on the cards, but if Suarez suffers an injury pre-match you won't be smiling...

Thoughts on this 8 pointer?
Zabaleta, Aguero, Whittingham out
Bardsley, Lukaku, Walcott in
Would leave me with 0 City but would get Silva in for Hazard if needed later on. Also I have Rooney....Open Controls-
I am doing
Aguero Brady Zaba OUT
Negredo Wally Distin IN
-8
Not sure about Sunderland defence or that Whittingham need transferring out thoughOpen Controls -
This week I'm wondering whether a sensible alternative to any hits is to sit on one's hands, take whatever one's team delivers, and hope that the gods are kind. Having already bitzed my transfer on Rooney I'm going hide behind the sofa and start praying.
Open Controls -
So you're doing Whittingham to Walcott? Who is your 5th mid then? Whittingham is perfect for that role, nailed on and has great fixtures coming up over the next 4 GWs.

Is this roo news serious ot another moyes stupid trick?

Looking at sub 6.4 Brady alternatives other than Morrison. Not a happy task, original plan was to roll a free and up him to a 7.something next week with a downgrade on Ozil or Johnson, but wanted to research a contingency for this week in case Roo confirmed out. Frankly I think my original plan is the better one.

I'm not convinced about Rooney playing this weekend or how much playing time he's going to get over the festive period.
If I had him I wouldn't sell but not sure bringing him in now is wise. Rooney could start but ten get reinjured again.
Grrrrrrrr, decisions decisions. All the while I'm losing money on Kun trying to decide what to do.Open Controls-
Getting the right player will be worth more than 0.2m
Open Controls-
True 'nuff, Tinkerman.
Rooney is the obvious replacement but this is the one period of the year when you don't want to be taking risks on potentially injured players.
Im also not convinced that Negredo isn't going to be a rotation risk either.
Unless Moyes comes out tomorrow and says Rooney is fit then I'll probably look to get in Berbs or Hooper. Both are essential to their teams survival cause so unlikely to get rested over xmas.Open Controls
