We’re down to the last four managers in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, sponsored by Paddy Power. Ahead of the next round of matches – which takes place in Gameweek 23, over next Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches – we take a look at the quartet who still harbour hopes of taking home the silverware.

Cunny Funts remains the favourite as we had into the final straight. Ranked at 688 overall, he saw off the challenge of YestheSess! in the quarter-finals and was the highest scoring manager to progress, with 71 points accrued in Gameweek 22. He’s up against Tdubb05 (36,120th overall), who racked up a 62-55 win over sim716 to make his way into the final four.

The pair have just five identical players – Seamus Coleman, Eden Hazard, Yaya Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor and Luis Suarez and both have made two transfers so far this week. Only Cunny Funts still has his wildcard left to play, though.

The other tie sees Ajax, with a rank of 23,489 overall, up against Tal, who currently sits in 57,457 in the rankings. Ajax is in the better form of the two – he outscored ec3dm by 60 points to 52 points to progress, whilst Tal booked him place in the semi-finals with a narrow 47-45 win over 11 Men in Flight.

Both managers have already played their wildcards, though intriguingly have just three of the same players – Suarez, Hazard and Adnan Januzaj – suggesting this one looks wide open.

As mentioned previously, it’s not just bragging rights on offer here – the top three will be rewarded for their exploits.

Winner – £100 worth of free bets. £100 Amazon Voucher
Runner-up – £50 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £25 Amazon Voucher

As always, we wish our final four the best of luck as they brace themselves for battle!

Somewhere on this page I've read a post which states boldly, " Ozil doesn't run and is lazy". Where do people get this stuff from?

Man I dont know how much ground he covers or any of these useless stats but he just 'seems' lazy.
He has that Berbatov or Ferdinand thing about him that makes him look like he's not trying.
But maybe thats just him making the game look easy cos he's so damn good 🙂
And maybe it just seems out of place in the English game where its more kick and rush that in Spain and Italy...

Arsenal don't exactly play kick and rush football, I assure you with out looking he covers a hell of a lot of ground per game.

I went through this same topic both yesterday and the day before. I used the word glides, and all kinds of other stuff. He should've had about 3 assists today. I think the quality of some of the players around him hampers his personal returns. Wilshere, I'm looking at you.

How bad was Bendtner today, by the way? Horrible with a capital H. I'm also tempted to say that maybe this Gnabry isn't quite as good as I thought a few weeks back. Maybe if he could ever shoot a ball on target. Sheesh, man. Don't shoot if you don't know how.

He's going to be well worth considering,
seeing as Suarez and Aguero are pretty much essential
having Rooney or Rvp as the 3rd striker is difficult
Mata, could be the answer ,think i'll wait till at least one of them is back though 🙂

The first two Weezer albums are very consistently good, I wouldn't put either in my top 20 but they're very solid. Great albums always have at least one track that isn't brilliant, they need variety and context and that's what makes them interesting.

Second Coming is a VERY good album too. Ten Storey Love Song is still my favourite Roses song. Had a bit of a moment when I finally got to hear it live last year.

I didn't go in the end. I love TSLS too. Begging You is probably my favourite Roses tune of them all.

I was kind of disappointed when Second Coming came out because it wasn't what I was expecting, but came back to it later and couldn't believe how blinkered I'd been.

I was JUST too young to catch them live first time round and always said I'd never go to any reunion cause it'd feel like chasing a buzz that died years ago but once it was announced I couldn't not go. Glad I did, they were phenomenal.

Yeah, I could see that. I thought they put on a brilliant performance in Glasgow last year, really tight. Reni's drumming at times is just outrageous. Best drummer I think I've ever seen, that boy.

He really is. Always considered the drummer to be the most important musician in a band. (except for the Beatles of course)

What I've noticed living in Manchester is the hysteria there is surrounding the Stone Roses here.

I admit they are good with 7 or 8 quality songs.

But... I just don't get the whole 'Legendary' status they have here

Yep. A bunch of the Bowie at the Beeb material on that there album. I don't really care much for the Bowie stuff after the late 60's and early 70's. Just a little too weird and somewhat obnoxious for my taste. Of course, Let's Dance is a fun jammaroo.

I love Low, but concede it is not to everyone's taste. Lots of great tracks on it , especially his invention of britpop in 1976 with the track BeMy Wife ..but also lots of dreary synth music as well.

I'm pretty sold on the first Kasabian album. Foo Fighters - The Color and the Shape was without duds.

And you won't like this much, but I would say Keane - Hopes and Fears. It's an exceptionally well made album.

Standards came out this year. Broken Record came out the year before (or maybe two years before). Music in a Foreign Language (2003), Etc. (2004), and Antidepressant (2007) are all solid albums if you like him and I think they are all a bit better than his most recent, but the new ones aren't bad either.

He's one of those guys that if I own him, he does pretty little. When I don't, he banks. Hate guys like that. Ozil has been that way this season. I've owned him twice for several gameweeks both times, and I think I've gotten an assist out of it. Transferred him out the first time before his 3 consecutive double figure hauls. Basically tells you why I have an overall FPL rank of 221,444.

So when fit, United will have the best front 4 in the league thanks to us. 🙁

    -------------------RvP-------------------
    Januzaj-------Rooney---------Mata

Is how I guess they will line up.

    *sigh*

Can't wait until we sign a striker this summer. United will probably surge and nab that 4th spot, I'd bet on it. They will have some side next season, but so will we.

1st WC of the season finally active, was going to leave it until next GW but my hand has been forced. What do you all think? Any improvements to be made?

    Marshall
    Mert Coleman Gabbidon (Chambers Parr)
    Haz Caz Mata Cabaye
    Ade Suarez Aguero

0.7m ITB, will probably look at upgrading Marshall and a cheapie def. Caz will be Silva after this GW.

I'm considering Ozil to Yaya for -4pts to save 0.1 if Ozil's price drops tonight? I have 0.2 in the bank so if their prices change again I wont be able to afford him. Fixtures, points etc taken into account this is a foolish move, no?
