Aguero tweets, "I felt some pain in my right hamstring and left just as a precaution. My studies will tell me the degree of the injury.

It’s a pity about the injury but it’s easier knowing that we are on top. I hope I get back out on the field soon to keep helping the team."

Aguero Janazaj > Sturridge Lallana seems sensible with regards to a gw28 move but would like RVP captain next week.

Next weeks captains if Kun is out for nor?

Right then. Enough faffing about. Time to get serious about FPL and get a kickass Wildcard team in the picture.

Been playing too casually (Haven't captained Suarez since 4 weeks) and that has cost me 25 points on the ML leader in the recent past. Managed a 68 this GW with Bony captain.

So what i'm looking for is primarily a discussion on a few key issues. A conversation is what i would prefer. I haven't been watching a lot of football and some nice inputs would be very helpful.

The few issues and theories i am looking at and i'm sure quite a lot of you are looking to discuss/tackle are:

    A) The Coleman conundrum

Most of us bought him really early and once we sell him now, we're pretty much saying bye-bye to him long-termish. What to do? Are those tasty home fixtures enough when you can get an Evans at 5.0?

    B) Mirallas/Barkley/Everton

Is their form on a dip or was that just a blip? Barkley makes a good investment doesn't he or do we spend a little more and go for Mirallas in case he plays up top?

    C) Double Che?

So i was looking at how to set up defensively and a Double Che defence is just very very attractive for me considering how JoMo is setting his team up. I have Terry at a sell value of 6.3. Do i sell him and get in the cheaper Azpi/Iva or keep him for safety and also thoughts on Cech as my only keeper?

    D) Utd/City/Ars attack

How much to invest in the attacks of these three teams? Who make the top 4-5 players to have from these teams in your opinion?

    E) Suarez and Sturridge?

Yay/Nay? Would i rather have coverage from more teams?

I prefer an opinion with reasoning compared to straight forward answers. Want to discuss a lot more things as well.

    F) Cheap rotation

If i'm looking at a cheap 2/3 way rotation, what is the one doing the rounds?

I'll start on the United attack issue. One reason that makes Mata very attractive for me is i reckong he will get 95% playing time. We could see some and i mean minimal rotation in PL because 4th spot is going to be Moyes' NUMBER 1 priority without a doubt so the big dogs will be playing as many games as possible.

But Mata not being CL tied will pretty much start every PL game there is. 100% Nailed on.

I bought him because of this and that he will be super motivated to prove himself after rotting away on the bench all season at chelsea. Kind of like with new transfers into the league, they will a lot of times have an initial spurt of good production. It will be interesting if and how it all works out with RVP and Rooney coming back

If you want to get serious.....

You will pick 3 Utd players that you plan to bench gw28

Olsson must be one of your cheap defenders cos he has a good game in 28 and 29

I'd look at a Adrian Ruddy GK combo so you have a playing keeper 29

Maybe even Snoddy as a rotating 4th mid

I am beginning to think 3 maybe too much. Going in with Evans and one of RVP/Mata/Roo could be the right thing to do now. Olsson from Norwich right? I will definitely keep that in mind.

I'm just not a big fan of cheap rotating keepers. Like the idea of Cech or Boruc full time and a non playing 2nd goalkeeper.

Thoughts on 2 Che at the back?

I'd be trying to get as many players available for 29 where the gap can be hugely made up

          WBA MUN
          Nor STO

Only games certain to be on, how many would have 6 players from these?

If you believe City will beat Chelsea in the cup, I'd load on Chelsea because CHE TOT will also fall into that week

Most other games look likely to be off

Right. So hence the Adrian/Ruddy rotation.

And Olsson as an option. Maybe my two cheapie defenders can be from these two teams. How good are Nor defensively nowadays? Also, thoughts on the bigger issues?

            Coleman? Dual Che?

I WC'd last week, got Terry and Cahill. 15 points. Very happy. They seems to good to pass up, and are good value for their points.

I have Mannone and Boruc, cost me 8.9 I think. Looks good. Less risk. Less risk is good.

Agree with Mata, I have him too.

No Ars attack now, maybe later. Went for value and not premium, aside from Suarez and Kun. Well, and Mata. I'd be careful of a lot of investment, especially with week 28 coming up.

      A) Coleman: I'm keeping for now and waiting until the last moment possible for news. If he is out I may just sell for a Chelsea defender. But it is a tough one as I think it was a blip for Everton due mainly to injuries. If I bought at 5 - 5.5ish I'd hold another GW.

      B) Barkley I am steering clear of as he still has that injured toe. Needed an injection to play and I cannot see that being good long term. Mirallas is a decent punt but better than Eriksen/Lallana??

      C) Double Che defence is a good tactic imo. If I had Terry at the price you do I'd definitely hold and also get Azpi. Cech is the other option but his expense will harm the rest of your team.

      D) City, Utd then Ars is the order of preference for me regards attack. These are the teams with goals in them each week but be careful of overload with the GW28 blank. Plan for now until GW26 I suppose then look to ship 1 or 2 out and bench the rest in 28/29.
Ars seem to stutter their way to goals and share them around a lot. Cazorla seems a good punt but Ozil doesn't seem like good value compared to Yaya/Hazard. Gru is wasteful of his chances though it is more that guys like Dzeko/Negredo/Rooney are better value for returns.

My preference in order would be RVP-Yaya-Mata-Cazorla-Dzeko-Silva-Negredo

      E) Nay, not because of eggs and baskets so much, I just think others provide as good value for money (J.Rod-Ade) whilst allowing a better team balance.

      F) I'm going with three cheapies because I'm getting RVP. Who your keeper/s are depends on who you include in this rotation. As I have Adrian/Mannone I want a cheap Sot/Car/Hul defender. I am unsure of the actual best rotations but they are the teams who I think will do well defensively over the next 6-10 GW's.

      Hope this helps.

I wish i could give you ten upvotes. This has helped bloody massively. Right so you and Tina have made me reconisder Coleman. Barkley is very cheap to give him a shot i reckon. Opinion taken on the Cech matter.

Also, haven't bought Yaya till date. Too late innit?

Also i disagree on the Studge matter because he just looks in unbelievable form.

Oh, I held Coleman and will keep him unless he goes out a very long time. Had him week 0, great value. One reason to have 2 Che def, with them I can handle Coleman hurt.

To be honest Barkley is a good prospect but just don't be surprised to see him sit out a game here or there with injury. Puncheon's fixtures look poor btw.

Not too late on Yaya at all. He is getting returns each week whether luckily or not. If it was Ozil getting those points everyone in FPL would own him.
Also he is on Pens with Kun out.

Studge is in great form and well rested.
Am still deciding if I do Studge + Lallana or Ade + Yaya.

    WC team draft #217.08

    Adrián
    Coleman, Koscielny, Burner
    Mata, Yaya, Johnson, Hazard
    RVP(c), Adebayor, Suárez

    (Mannone, Noone, Yoshida, Ward)

    Possible changes:
    Coleman (if unfit) > Azpi
Burner > Chambers (if he is more nailed on)?
    Yaya + Ade > Lallana + Studge

Thoughts or discussion much appreciated. 🙂

Am not feeling anyone's love for Burner so I may ship (though Hudson is now crocked).
I'd love Azpi but it is prohibitive with an RVP team. I'd have to lose Coleman or downgrade a mid. Or lose Kosc?!
I too prefer Studge to Ade so will keep thinking on it.

I'm thinking of going with a 352 now that Aguero is out with:

    Sczcesny
Shaw Kolarov Olsson | Gabbidon McNaughton
    Silva Hazard Lallana Toure Eriksen
    Sturridge Suarez | Berahino

-8 deduction. 3.2M in the bank that I can use next week to upgrade Sturridge, Lallana or Eriksen to perhaps Rooney or Mata.

Man City have 3 home games in their next 4.

I'm only considering Chambers, if that's the confusion. But I'm not going to get a Southampton defender when their two big defensive signings from the summer-- they guys that turned Southampton from one of the worst defenses in the league to one of the better defenses-- are both out.

His returns may be a bit spotty, but he's getting about the same attacking returns as last season, when he performed very well despite a much worse Everton defense. Lots of people are talking about the demise of the Everton defense, but I think the relatively poor performance recently has been due to injuries across the back line.
