It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, “No_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s “SAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

hey the whole giroud thing? i'm sure most of us here have suffered a personal circumstance of some sort that will take up all your attention at a given time, like a death in family, or a relationship break up, or losing a job, or whatever. but something that dwarves whatever level of sports you play at. so could you put all aside and just get on with it as a pro while on the pitch?

A death in the family can bring about different reactions. Some players may react by playing as if they were 'playing in x's honour', whereas others might want time with their family to mourn the loss etc.
Depends on the severity of the event, whether or not their is guilt involved especially I think. More likely to knock someone's confidence on the pitch

    Help appreciated here.

    Boruc Davis
    Baines Bertrand Kolarov Demel Hudson
    Mata Hazard Silva Navas Gnabry
    SAS

Here are my five issues for gw 28 -- I have 2 FTs so need to use one, though no money ITB:

    Navas Silva Kolarov Hudson Gnabry

Am leaning toward either Navas to Lallana or Hudson to Chester/Chambers, letting the other one roll over again. Any thoughts? Thanks.

How on earth can anyone dispute Szczesny's red card. Robben has a certain open goal if he doesn't get fouled. Bayern didn't score the penalty. Simple as that

because, even without the contact, sagna would have got to ball first (in my opinion, and not a fan). robben was jumping so not running when fouled, sagna would have easily passed him out. easy to say in replay slomo, impossible in real time.

Under the current rules that is a blatant red, Arsenal cannot complain one bit.
However wish theyd change the rule to only a red if outside the box because a penalty surely constitutes a clear goal scoring chance

no its not! it's not a clear goal scoring opportunity if you are not going to be the next player to touch the ball. and he's not the next to touch it just because he's fouled either

yes it is, no ref in their right mind would give any other decision, hes one of the quickest in the game, to say he wouldnt have got there before Sagna is pure wishful thinking. At full speed without all the replays the ref has no option and even wih all the replays its still red

no, i don't agree at all. look i'm not a fan, and it's immaterial now anyway, but robben is jumping high then fouled before he even lands. even if not fouled all his pace is gone, he has to start from 0 momentum, meaning sagna gets there 1st.

i disagree but even if thats true you cant expect the ref to be that detailed in his analysis in real time, it was a rash tackle close to the goal and Robben had controlled the ball, red was inevitable

Love people talking about Kroos' quality as if he hasn't been doing it for a few seasons now, do some people (Sky pundits included) not pay any attention to non-PL football.

He missed the run in through injury last season, if he'd been fit, Robben would never have even started in the final.

Man U have no chance of getting him, he's just using them as a bargaining tool in his contract talks.

I wouldn't say the entire first half, first twenty minutes they came out strong, but didn't capitalise, and to be honest that's their own fault, after Bayern inevitably gained a foothold it was only a matter of time until Arsenal cracked, a valiant effort but this is Bayern we are talking about.

I have to say Fifa should ban the rule about having to send a player off if they're percieved to be the 'last man'.......often the refs get it wrong as most have never played football and so dont take into account covering players or the fact the palyer was being forced wide etc etc. Its such a shame that both CPL games were ruined by a sending off. And after all surely a penalty is penalty enough?
