We bring you the draws for the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and FFS Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power, after the qualifying rounds for both competitions took place over Gameweek 27:

First of all, entrants with a score of 56 points or more have earned a spot in the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX. If you scored 55 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Our defending champion, Tdubb05, gets his title defence underway against stocherilac this weekend. Looking at some of the other previous winners, Jonty plays djt, MCH is up against Jambo 17, Donnellyc has cflanesra, Wild Rover goes head-to-head with Chobber Slops FC, whilst Gooner Dave has been drawn against JW.

Some of the plum ties amongst the community include Chu Young Ping Pong v Acquafresca, Bubbles against Yes the Sess! and Accounting on Chris v Attila the Bum.

Four of the current top 100 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are in the hat for this weekend’s matches. Gambiteer, Justoutsidethemoney and Forbes are amongst those high-fliers as is world number two Tom Fenley, whose opponent, Alistair, currently sits around the 23,000-mark.

Entrants with a score of 58 points or more will have made their way into the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup IV. If you scored 57 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Defending champion Acquafresca is up against Caladan Brood, whilst another former winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, goes head-to-head with The EJJ in Gameweek 28.

Amongst the notable community match ups, contributors Big Dunc and In Tommy We Trust face up to EpicFail and Chu Young Ping Pong respectively, whilst Dino’s clash with Bootsy and Thomass67 against Absinthe also catch the eye.

Once again, Tom Fenley is the manager to avoid in this cup. This time, he’s up against tmidrew who, with a rank inside the top 4,000, will fancy his chances of causing an upset. You can click here to view the First Round Draw.

    There are 3 Gameweeks when transfers can be made in the beta version Ultimate Fantasy Premier League:

    Gameweek 1 - 4 transfers

    Gameweek 2 - 4 transfers

    Gameweek 3 - Unlimited transfers

    So no transfers at all after GW3 😯

      To be fair I don't see how either Cleverly or Carrick could go to the World Cup with how they played tonight, I could have sworn 90% of the balls cut out were by Rooney. Couldn't handle such a poor passing unit. Couldn't press. Couldn't support their front men.

      Smalling shouldn't be anywhere near a Utd team. I'll judge it very simply - which of those players would I want/could get into Spurs' team/squad:

    Liverpool getting a double has made the ideal GW31 front 3 a tough choice for me. What are people's thoughts? I guess the obvious three are:

    Aguero-Suarez-Sturridge

    This would mean me ditching RVP and not getting Rooney but I guess the way Utd are playing at the moment that might not be a loss. Would be a bit of a wast of a transfer... but maybe I'll wildcard.

    I don't think Moyes' personality fits the buccaneering spirit associated with United. He is too negative - his first contribution was to complain on the release of the fixture list at United's start - it sent out a defeatist message

    Blaming Moyes for everything has gone too far. He is a great manager for ManU, and although I do not hold a twitter account, I recommend everybody who does to start this campaign:

    Listing arguments why Moyes is doing everything right and point out the real reasons to lack of success, such as:

    -bad luck
    -bad referees
    -bad players - who would win anything with that useless squad?
    -unfair opposition tactics, like for example Fulham who shamelessly exploited ManU's bad crossing.

    And so on. Just to be fair to Moyes and prevent ManU from missing their chance with what can become a great era under Moyes.
